I am curious as to why you chose this specific thread to post that little "FYI" bit, when no on here posted that they did, so who are you "addressing"? Most people come here to see if its a scammer and generally read what everyone said, to a degree they understand if it was legitimate for them or not.

I haven't read anywhere on 800notes that anyone made the determination it had to be a scam due to it not being on their credit report. Posting useful information is great, but to just insert it into a thread out of nowhere is a little suspicious, don't you think?

And I landed here because I Googled the company looking for other info.
Everything isn't a conspiracy.   I'm not here to defend this company and declare them legit.  I don't know anything about them.

I only wanted to narrowly address that the absen ce of something on a credit report doesn't mean anything.

It's illegal for a company to impersonate law enforcement.  It's illegal to threaten legal action in some,  but not all circumstances.  I only chimed in because I generally see a lot of misinformation on these threads and I have seen other companies that I know to be collecting legitimate debts labeled as scams.
