I filed a report with the FTC(although I am not sure if it really helps) but the calls that have been ongoing for over a month now have stopped. It has been about 3 days of quiet bliss. I am sure they will resume with a new number eventually but I am hoping to have at least a month of being harassment free. All we can do is to continue to spread the word until no more people get taking advantage of by these criminals!

Keeps calling from variety of numbers(I block each call they change to another number) Says they have a Claim please hold for officer. They would not Identify who they are until I verified last 4 SS#  Scammers to call me on my father's phone which has never been mine.  They want info from me but won't tell me who they are. Really? They call  3 or 4 times a week.

This is a debt collector calling random numbers on auto dial. Gave me info for someone else's debt. Would not remove the wrong number from their list

These people called my In-Law's home where I have never lived, asking for me under my maiden name.  They refused to give any information to my mother in law (not even a company name) other than the phone number where I can call back.  When I called I was told I had an unpaid payday loan that needed to be paid back or I would be sued.  I asked for them to mail me documentation and provide an address and EIN and they promptly hung up.

I received a phone call from 844-661-8919 they have my ss#, my address, my birthdate, I am very freaked out.  What do I do what other imformation do they have I am a poor woman with children and an ill husband this is scaring me.

They have called my parents home & cell numbers and have called my husbands cell, but have never called me. They called my mom a liar saying that she is Me or she knows where I am. She demanded to know how to get a hold of me. I need them to stop harassing my family. I do not have a pay day loan. My credit report has no derogatory remarks on it.

They call my house.  They call both my daughters.  We never pickup or return the calls.  This has been going on for over a year.  It goes for a while stops then starts again.  I am ready to find them and annoy the crap out of them.

This number called my brother harassing him.I called them they said i took out a payday loan in 2012 for $400. I told them i never have gotten a loan ever and then she read off my ssn  and said because the payday place has my ssn that i have to pay it or legal action would be taking place, I told her to [***] OFF!!!

I keep getting called from this number. The caller is extremely rude and won't identify herself or her company.

Every couple of weeks they call me and threaten me with arrest and court.  I did not take out a payday loan and I do not owe these people money.  I've gotten to the point that I tell them to send me the papers and I'll see them in court.  I have yet to receive them of course.  Who can we register complaints too to get this to stop?

This called has been calling my house everyday saying they have claim against my daughter from back in 2011 and that she owes 400 dollars to a pay day loan from an address she hasn't been at for at least 10 years.

They keep calling me and my family!

Ignore and block.  Be especially wary oif 844 area code calls.

These are most probably off-shore Carribean based scammers.

Report them:

Consider a call blocker and DO NOT return these sorts of calls if you do NOT recognize them. Stay away from  answering 844 area code calls.

Same thing - I get an array of different numbers but all are the same - they can't provide me with any information, but know my SSN. Don't give them any info, this is a scam. Trust me when you are being sued for debt, you will get written notice at your front door, which at least then you actually have proof it's legit. So many scammers, you really gotta check every number and verify... verify.... verify!!!!  800Notes is a great resource for these issues, but even if you can't find the number you are looking for on here - Please do not give out personal or sensitive information about yourself- You have the right to request in writing any accusations make about you, and until you have legal wriiten notice about a debt do not believe these SCAMMERS.

Keep getting these calls. Answered one and told them if they had a claim they have my address, and to mail it to me. Of course this is a scam. I no longer pick up 844 calls, but it sure is an annoyance.
