    Annoyed
I keep getting calls from this number.... Claiming I owe a debt. I do not. Stating the debt is from somewhere I never lived. I have told them three times to stop calling and to not call back again. They keep calling. They are calling anybody and everyone who may know me. I wish I knew how they have my information.  They won't show me any type of proof as to this debt. There is nothing on my credit report stating I have debt or anything in collections.

I have gotten a call from this # as well as 844-505-9361. They have my old address and tell me that I have an outstanding loan from 2013, which I do not. I tried to have them send me information via mail and they said they could only send it via email.  I called my Attorney General's office and reported suspected scam and yes, I was told it is a scam if they will not send information via regular mail; plus she told me that area code 844 is well known to be scan; do not answer or give them any information!!!!

After getting several calls from this number,  I finally answered a couple of days ago and spoke to a foreign sounding women with a bad phone connection. She said I owed a payday loan and didn't give me much information, except that it was with Access Holding LLC. I hung up on her and she called right back and left a rude voicemail. My sister called me last night and said they have been calling for me at her house and leaving automated messages. I was really pissed off about that! Tonight I called the number and gave them the claim# from the message and spoke with another foreign sounding woman. We went round and round with her only giving small bits of information...none that was helpful! She finally got her "manager" on the phone. She ID'd herself as Stephanie Wilks. She said the only info. she had was for Capital Bank with routing number 64201822 and a Loan ID#. I told her that I was going to research it and would call back in a few days...and to stop calling my family and neighbors, etc..She said to call her back in 24 hrs and that she works 11-8 pm CST. The payday loan that I supposedly took out, was either processed or refinanced 2/2012 for $400 and now I owe $460 due to fees. She said I either applied online or at a store front payday loan place. I Googled the routing # and it was for Green Bank which was later changed to Capital Bank, here in Tennessee. I had a checking account with them, but never a loan. I called their loan department and they were unable to find any loan for me. The agent suggested pulling a free credit report from all 3 companies. I decided to Googled their phone # first and found this helpful forum!! I can just imagine how many people fall for their scams!!!......ok going to pull credit reports...

They are known debt scammers.  We are trying to get a real name and location for them.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

If you feel you SSN has been compromised, in addition to putting a fraud alert at the 3 credit bureaus, you may want to notify the IRS.  Here is the link, fill out the proper form (probably 14039):

These people kept calling leaving a message for someone who does not live at my home. I called them back 3 times and told them to stop. I am now turning this number in to our state's attorney generals office and the BBB. I am believing they are a collection agency trying to collect on an old debt or trying to scare someone into believing they owe someone. They provide no information except a file number and a phone number to call. When I challenged them they hang up.
