This number calls my cell phone often it doesn't leave a message or anything so I have no idea who this is so I don't answer the number

Called my home and leaves no messages had collectors tell me in the past that my number was a recycled phone number. Call display showing EOS Canada

You people make me laugh....a collection agency calls you advised you that they are calling on behalf of the Ontario government and instead of trying to work with them and find out why you may owe money, you run from your bills and encourage others to do the same. you put these post up to indicate that the call is fraud/scam.....FYI they are collecting for the government and thankfully I did not listen to the nonsense that is written here and I was able to work out paying a bill I actually owed.

This number called and asked me to provide personal information. When I hesitated and said that I do not give personal information to a company that I didn't call, they claimed that I had an issue with the "ministry of finance". I told them I would call the "ministry of finance" they offered to give me the number. When I said no that's ok I'll look it up myself, they said "never mind, if you are refusing to deal with this issue I will write it down - have a nice day" I said "wait ... If you could please tell the name of the office to call, I would be happy to" and she hung up on me. FRAUD for sure. EOS my butt. 1-844-675-0579 Ext 3412

Please note unless the collection company has bought the debt they have no right to call you as you don't owe them anything.

They're actually a debt collection agency that has purchased debts from the Ontario Government (e.g. student loans, etc.) They are not an official Ontario Government office.

Do not answer this call. They call my cell & do not leave messages. They are scammers.

Not everyone actually owes the government and runs from their debts... some of us actually have excellent credit and still get these BS calls because we have the same name as the people EOS are looking for. Yes... ust the same name... not my SIN, not my phone or address as a match... just because there is someone else in the province with my name.

Keep getting calls to collect a student loan.  But my cell number now belongs to me, not the person who used to have the number.  I explained this to them but the calls keep coming.  Just block the number.

I work for the Federal Government, and I think the Provincial Governments work the same way.  Since WHEN does a government in this country, provincial or federal, contract its debts out to a shady company for collection?  NEVER!  Folks, this is a SCAM,  It's not really even EOS Canada calling you. Check their website for contact info, this number doesn't even belong to them.  They're just trolling to find someone gullible to give them money.

then you must have got one of the good guys calling you. The one who misdialled and called my house told my 8 year old daughter her dad is a deadbeat and should pay his loans. Now as I said he mis-dialled and my daughter just buried her father a month before this [***] call. So get your facts in order before you call out others. NOT ALL OF THESE MORONS are worth the time on the call.

Their "investigative method" seems to be going through the phone book looking for people with the same last name as the person they're looking for, then sending out flaccid rob-calls asking for a call back. What nitwits.
