They first called back in April at my moms in another state from were I live. The loan they were calling about I did have back in 2011 or 12 but I thought I had paid it. WHen they started with the going to court talk I did set up the payment arrangement even though I can barely afford it. I made the payments each payday until yesterday when I just did not and do not have it. Sure enough my mom called me last night and the a%#hole called back threatening to show up a my place of work. I am a teacher online so I work at home but there is a central office. I have tried calling them back on the number she gave me and then Word crashed and I lost it and the ref number but I have the number from April when I set up the payment arrangement. I have called that number also and both go to the same generic voicemail. I left my name and number and let them know I don't have any money to give them. From what I read this is a scam but I can't afford to be wrong and get sued and I can't afford a lawyer to deal with them. I've looked into bankruptcy to get rid of all this kind of crap and I can't be without my paycheck to pay the lawyer to file the papers so I'm screwed all the way around.
