It's Sedgewick or also Comp Management. This is NOT a debt collector. This is what's called a MCO and they work with injured worker's on a company's behalf. Hertz and Avis are clients and if you had a claim they are just making sure you get the proper care. They won't leave a message as it could violate HIPAA laws to leave a msg regarding an injury. I do NOT work for them, but am an HR Director who uses them for my injured worker's claims.

So you looked up a phone number to come here to tell us that everything is A-OK?  Why?  Things are a bit slow?  HIPAA laws do not preclude them from leaving a simple message.  They don't have to say what the injury is.  They could simply leave a generic message to call them back.  Sure glad you aren't my HR Director.

Sedgwick is a TPA - third party administrator for Workers' Compensation claims. We actually have this # (844) 733-4942 in our system at our law firm and it is a valid Sedgwick number. If you are wary, just google Sedgwick's website and use their help chat to verify the # that called you.

I should note they also administer other types of claims such as general liability, property, marine, etc

Robocall, asked for soc security number and would not identify. Do not Answer!

This man called me from this number saying he was going to settle a claim we had with a company he never answers his phone and never calls us back

Said they were from Budget car rental. They knew the dates of my car rental and gave me a claim number and to call back. It’s got to be a scam.

They keep calling but never leave a message

Called saying she was with Verizon’s insurance about Sedgwick and burn injury. She had all the correct information but I’ve learned that it’s a scam. Unfortunately, I believed her and gave SSN. Beware!

I NEVER EVER pick up a call if the number doesn't have a name attached to it, and even then if I don't recognize the name I won't.  844 is a Kansas area code.  Who the hell do I know in Kansas?  NOBODY!  Besides, if you aren't in my contacts list that means you aren't important to me and I don't pick up.  These robo/spam calls will continually worsen no matter what you do.  I have a Verizon and a T-Mobile phone, both with "Call Block" option, and an AT&T LAN line that's unlisted, and I still spend several minutes a day blocking or erasing new scam attempts. Unfortunately, phone companies make money when they connect these calls to your phone. So, unless their competitors are offering a better solution to stop nuisance calls, carriers have little incentive and plenty of money to lose by investing money in preventing these calls.  Bottom line is there's absolutely nothing you can do to put an end to it short of a mandatory death penalty for everyone implicated.  Extreme?  Not to me it ain't.

844 is a toll free number.  It is not a Kansas area code, but it could be used by a company in Kansas or anyone of the other 49 states and Canada as well.  Heck you could have learned that it was a toll free number simply by reading the top of this page.

This is a scam

I received a call today.  The caller ID said “Sedgwick”, which is the name of a legitimate company that Walmart (where I work) uses for leave of absence claims.  I chose not to answer, but instead to look up the number online, and it brought me to this site.

Called once, no voicemail

Three missed calls from this number in the last 10 minutes. No voicemail.

Katherine from sedgewick called about my at&t claim for damages done to my house. Tried calling them back. Automated bogus way to get in touch with a person , impossible.

The name on the numbers says "Taylor, Rihana" and when I answered, there is no sound, just complete silence. So the number gets blocked.
