I called the 844 number.  The robo-greeter is someone who I recognize form other numbers.  Woman's voice, sounds vaguely annoyed all the time.  They are the same old same old group of white collar criminals that go around calling people up and saying there are “charges” against them.  Usually there are supposed to be two fraud charges (they love that two charge nonsense) and that these charges are going brought in your county.   They change CID and phone numbers all the time and nobody has been able to find them.
They will not ID themselves properly; they usually say “processing division” or some such other totally  meaningless phrase when you ask who they are.
If they have a valid debt, tell them to send you a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.  Of course they won’t do this, so just ignore them and block their  calls.

I receive phones calls from these clowns throughout the day. If I don't cooperate I will be incarcerated. Incarcerated for what?! I never received a "letter in mail" from this mindless group. By the way, I have a disability and I very tired of the harassment.

The next time they call, let them know you are recording them (legal in most states), and having them prosecuted for attempted extortion and wire fraud. See how fast they hang up.

I keep receiving these calls from this number also. I thought the recording said it was from Intercoastal.  They keep calling. I blocked their number on my cell and it still comes through. When I enter 1 to speak to a representative.. they hand up. I dont have any debt. As others have said, they threaten me also.Since I'm on the do not call list, I'm sending this information to the FCC. We should all file a report with the FCC. Maybe they can stop them

If you look up Intercoastal process services, they say right on their website in BIG red letters that they are NOT associated with intercoastal processing.

I have been receiving phone calls for the last 3 weeks from these idiots.  Each one was the same that they sent me a letter and I did not respond in which I never received.  I finally called them and was treated rudely.  It turns out they were looking for my ex-brother in law from a state that I do not live in!  I have been divorced from this family for over 15 years and only met this guy once.  How did my name get tied up with his and why when I don't live in the state that he supposedly does!!!  I particularly did not like being treated rudely and threatened with a lawsuit!!!

Received a message with the same verbiage. If this was real we would have been served papers or by certified mail for us to sign. So this already appeared that this was spam. Looking at these postings just confirmed my suspicion. Thanks.

Hi.  I decided to pay my debt in increments of $100.  I paid the first month after they threatened to suspend my license.   They sent me an email with the specifics,  a different telephone number, and email to contact.   I've tried six times to get a hold of someone via the telephone number and it's just a generic, this is a voicemail box, leave a message recorded greeting.   I have not received any phone calls back or responses to my emails.   I think it's just a scam.

"I paid the first month after they threatened to suspend my license. "  First huge mistake, since they cannot suspend your license and saying they can is a violation of Federal law. "They sent me an email with the specifics,  a different telephone number, and email to contact."  they are required to send you a letter in the US mail.  E mail is not a valid form of communication in these matters. "I think it's just a scam."  Absolutely correct.
This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, etc. all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Since they sent you an e mail, you should have the name and address of this bunch of criminals.  Please post it here.

Got the same call today.  I asked the rude lady all kinds of questions about where the debt is from and of course she wouldn't answer me.  She tried to get me to settle on this account.  I asked for something in writing and she stated that they don't send out information.   Funny thing is that she said the debt was from 2013 and used my maiden name.  I have been married longer than that.  I know that we don't currently have debt since we just purchased our first home. Could not find any information on them online either.

Is that so? Let her know the next time she calls you will see them in court if they continue to harass you over an unvalidated debt.

Ask the caller for his or her name, company, street address, telephone number, and professional license number. Many states require debt collectors to be licensed. Check the information the caller provides you with your state officials, or the state in which the debt collector holds a license. If the caller refuses or is unable to provide you with information about his company, or if you can’t verify the information he provides, do not give money to the caller or company.

Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." This notice must include:
    The amount of the debt
The name of the creditor you owe
A description of certain rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, consider requesting this information in writing or seeking assistance before paying the debt to make sure the debt, and the company, are valid.

Tip: You can consider sending the collector a letter requesting the information by using one of the CFPB's sample letters. You can also submit a complaint to the CFPB or you can contact your state Attorney General’s office.

Tip: If you're having trouble with debt collection, you can submit a complaint with the CFPB online or by calling (855) 411-CFPB (2372).
