Actually, no. As they only have so much time to collect. And many times they are collecting debts that the main company legally wrote off. Meaning CBV  doesn't actually have any right to collect.
Especially if the bill is past the statute of limitations. If you owe a company money, you pay that company, not the collected. Paying the collected goes against your credit line still.

Also, if you are a collector for them, I suggest you quit. As they will let you take the fall when someone like me sues them for extortion and blackmail. Which are federal offences punishable with 30 years. A friend of mine settled in court with someone who she harassed finally got sick of her calling after the statute of limitations was up.  CBV threw their employee under the bus, claiming they don't teach their reps to harass and that they are not to  contact people on debts that are older than 6 years.. 2 depending on what province they are in.

I have been receiving innumerable calls from these people over months. They have called me from 35 different numbers. These people are the scum of the earth, are rude and aggressive. I have contacted a lawyer friend of mine to see if there is an legal action I can pursue. I'll keep you posted.

This number is just a scammer.

Get a call blocking app on your smartphone that allows you to block all 800 numbers and unknown callers. I did this about a year ago and I'm no longer bothered by these terrible business practices. The sooner everyone does this, the sooner these companies will no longer be able to exist.

Calls continuously.  Answered today.  Couldn't under person.  Most annoying as calls at all times of the day and night.

called 3 times this month. phone mentioned possible spam. left a voicemail but when i went to hear it, had no noise. block this number

1-844-768-7259 has called continuously for a few days at all different times. No response when answering the phone. Hang up after saying hello 2 times.

They call my # @ 7am. This is not the 1st time...
Never leave message. Don't know why they're calling me???  I don't owe anyone money....so must be a scam.

They would not stop calling me and telling me that I owe them money...would not let me off the phone...

whoever it is calling me three times in the morning while I was trying to sleep today, from this number, I wonder how much they'd appreciate the RCMP showing up there with laid harassment charges...

Called 3 times in one day (7:26am/9:59am/1:34pm), never answer. I think it's a collection agency from what other people are reporting about this number.
