- JustWendyNowSaid he was with QB Tech Support and that my files weren't being updated with QB due to a logging error and that I needed to connect with him using Support-LogMeIn (I knew he was full of c**p when the call started). I pretended to follow his instructions and asked for a number in case we got disconnected, Googled his number during the conversation, found the info here and very promptly told him to "F Off" and hung up. I wasn't born yesterday idiot!!!

Caller said my name is Joseph from Microsoft and that my account is being charged $199 for last years services . And, IF I didn't pay promptly, I would be charged $499.00 or $999.00!
Upon returning call , it rang 6+ times, but no one answered.- Caller: Microsoft?

- James| 1 replyReceived a call about my microsoft securties being outdated. I tried to refuse the call but said he was charging my credit card $499.95. At that time I ask him to remove anything he had placed on my computer. He put a password on my compiuter, preventing me to access the computer. Then they made several attemps to convice me to allow them to repair and get me back on the computer but it was going to cost me. I finally told them good bye and hung up. Had to take the computer to my local tech to re format the HD and re load windows. A well organized scam.

- Yes replies to JamesVery well known and highly publicized. I hope you know that they also got every piece of information that was on that computer including user names, passwords, contacts, bank account info, everything.
- Erin| 1 replyThis number has called me multiple times saying they are going to charge my card some outrageous amount, when I asked for his name and to speak to a supervisor, he hung up on me. I called back. I asked which company/agency this was, wouldn't tell me. Asked for supervisor, guy said he was the supervisor, I cursed him out pretty good, called them liars, thieves, and scams. He hung up on me. I called back, another man answered and said he was the manager when I asked to speak to them. Told them to lose my number and that I would be calling the BBB on them. No response, he hung up, of course. Chicken.

- A.R.| 2 repliesI was at my 80ish yr old clients house cleaning. I repeatedly heard him telling a caller, “No, you can’t have any more money....Put my computer back! I walked in to his office and looked at his computer....this scammers had control of his computer and were disabling his function settings. I tried to do a print screen scammers blocked it. My client put me on the phone with them, I asked for their company name, license information and location.....they would not tell me anything....siting I was not authorized to talk to them. I called them on their BS and unplugged my clients computer. After unplugging the computer they continued to call (6 times)my client...I told him not to answer and if it continued to call his phone company to block their number. Had home call a real computer IT guy who will clean his computer up for him.

- Robert replies to A.R.| 1 replySo how did you get control of the PC back?
They did something to mine where I can't use my Windows password anymore. I currently can not get in to my computer. - Gary G. replies to RobertYou will need to take your computer to a real brick and mortar computer shop to have it fixed. You will also need to change all your user names and passwords, notify your contacts, alert your bank and credit cards, and anything else that was on that computer since they now have it all (and don't do it from that computer if you manage to get back into it).
- JOSEPH DALELIOCaller with indian accent wanted access to my computer claiming that his connection to my computer was cut off. He also said that i had a refund of $400.00. I told him not to call as he was a scammer .

- DMH| 1 replyMan with an Indian accent called and said he was calling from Microsoft. He said my antivirus protection had expired and if I didn’t renew it He would charge my card $500 because when I signed up last year I’d agreed to keep service 3 years. Had no idea what he was talking about. Hung up on him
- Caller: 844 769 7025
- Mike-in-MD replies to DMHWhat is even funnier is that Microsoft does not even sell antivirus protection. It is built in to Windows and there is nothing more from Microsoft you can get paid or free.
- Emily Weinstein"Your account is being charged $500 for auto-renewel update. Please call me back at 844-769-7025, extension 419. Ask for Edward."
