Left a message threatening court intervention over a complaint filed in their office.  But they don't identify the name of the organization, or identify themselves as a debt collector.  I'm no expert, but I think this is a violation of debt collection laws.  Be careful

This number is a scam and has all of my information threatening me to take me to court if I don’t pay amount due and I need to show proof that I paid

Called and left a msg on my cell phone and said this was the last attempt before court. They didn’t identify themselves and said they were going to freeze my bank accounts and anything that had my social on it! These ppl are scum! This is such a scam!

I received a call on my cell phone from 408-691-9870 (Milpitas CA). I don’t take calls from numbers I don’t know. They left a voicemail message, but he didn’t identify himself or provide a company name. Just said there was currently a motion with their office to suspend my bank account & accounts associated with my social security number. The message then repeated itself. They left a number to call, 844-813-1676.

I looked up the number on my caller i.d. but couldn’t find any info. It’s apparently a cell phone or spoof number that they are using. Then I looked up the number they left in their message and ended up here in 800Notes. I really don’t trust these types of calls. I don’t have any delinquent accounts. I would think if there seriously was a court case, papers would have to have been served, which there has not been. I’m sure it’s a scam.

A reverse lookup on two different apps resulted in diferrent names.  The first one shows a first but not last name and is shown to be a mobile number.  The second search reveals a different name.  This indicates a spoofed number from the 408 area code.

I checked to see if there were any reports on the number that called you but no one else has reported calls from that number.

Left a message on my landline today.  Same as the others - no name or company name, and a threat to close all bank accounts in my name and ss#. One thing that makes me laugh, is they never say who the message is for . . . there could be ten people living here!

My caller ID says: Milpitas CA 408-601-9870

Got the same message. Called and a lady eventually answered. I asked her name and got it (likely not legitimate). I asked the name of their business, she said ACC. I asked what that stands for and she didn't answer. I asked the name of the business and the address and she said she can't answer that. I told her that her message was illegal.. She put me on hold for 15 minutes and I hung up. SCAM call being the number can't be traced, from my attempts. Report calls like this to your local Police.

I received a call here earlier today from the same outfit, although the caller ID that they called from showed the call was from 408-601-9870, a cell phone, which is theoretically based in North San Jose, Ca. I also I placed a redial to the number and got someone on the phone who had all the info on the party they claimed the action was directed against. The woman I spoke to knew the information of the person they were calling about, but they never stated who they were, and when their phone picked up, the company name was cut off so I have no idea who it was. Several searches in the free directories say it's a person/business with initials RK, and that they are in Fremont,  but other searches show this area code and prefix to be in San Jose. I asked if they were a debt collection firm, and the woman said they were not. She threatened court action against the person the call was intended for, and I threatened back, telling her to stop calling me or I would sue them for harassment and she hung up shortly after. ;-)

Seems this is most likely a scam. I never trust anyone who won't give complete information when asked if they claim to be a business of any sort, and this was the case here. If they call, be VERY  wary...

I’m so pissed and mad at myself. Usually I don’t entertain any of these unknown calls scammers or not.... this number is certainly a scammer. I got played by entertaining the phone call .... I don’t know how much info they have on me . Name and address for sure didn’t give them anything else. .. but I want get these scumbags prosecuted . They need a new law for this: impersonating  collections services , fraud .

They called  again today.  They left the same recorded message on my landline, with the same threat to close all bank accounts. I wish I knew who they are looking for - they never say .But, I am not going to call them back to try to find out.

There was one slight difference this time.  The caller ID said  "Wireless Caller"  instead of  "Milpitas CA"

Same call as other posts indicate. Caller ID showed Milpitas. Same vm mssg as noted above. Bunch of losers! Leave us honest working people alone and get get the scumbags rippin' us off in the GOP/WH Administration!!

These people need to get a better job and leave us alone.

Looks like I am the lucky one!  LOL   They just called again (that makes 3 times), leaving the same recorded message. Again, I wish I knew who they are looking for - but I do not feel safe calling that number.

I received the call from threatening to take me to court over a credit card debt

Received a call from them saying that  this was the third and final call and I need to call them back today they even had the nerve to speak in a threatening voice it really is scary getting these kind of calls from people like this things tend to make it believable
