Just like the comments made previous to mine, I too got the fake IRS phone call.  Thank you, "Mad Mom, 8 March 2017", for typing it up word-for-word.

Got the same call...if anyone has ever taken out a payday loan on-line in the past, which I have over 6 years ago and long paid them back, these scammers have your information and will constantly keep harassing you and trying to find different angles to dupe you.  I've reported the harassment to the FBI on numerous occasions, but nothing really can be done other than to change your cell phone number.  Well, I've had my same number for 16 years and don't want the hassle of trying to contact everyone I can possibly think of to give a new number, so I just keep ignoring the scammers.  Don't even bother answering or calling them back with threats or anger 'cause that only fuels them...just keep ignoring them.

No possibility of that.  Callers are hard core Indian and Pakistani scammer extortionists.  Nothing the US can do and the local governments do little.  Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

I just received the same call message. I called them back and they asked me my name, I said "you should have my name, you called me"  Then they repeated my name.  Then they gave me an address and asked if that is my address.  I was my address but I told them "No, that is not my address, where did you get that?"  They hung up on me.

Absolutely agree with Pam. I just got this call. I am certain the IRS is *not* issuing anything toward anything resembling my arrest. However, I wish they would find these subhumans and arrest them.
I have heard that the hard criminals that used to be involved in violent crimes until a decade ago are not shifting to a range of identity theft scams related crimes. That's right. The same people calling you trying to get information out of you were committing murders a few years ago. May a plague descend on these human trash who very likely do succeed in scamming the less educated, the old, and the helpless.

Thank you for this info. I have received 2 calls today from this scam. I let the message go to voicemail because I do that with all unknown numbers. They called my landline with the exact message you stated above. I wasn't going to call the number back because I figured it's a scam. Thank you for verifying I was right.
