- Resident47 replies to MJGI might have said Bridge or Poker if "Yalanda" here was not a pitiful bluffer. Funny thing, I just bought a Rook deck last week. I'm told the Rook card trumps everything, which won't fit this fraud game since fake debt extortionists never hold any strong cards. It's more a case of "getting rooked" if a targeted person believes the false threats. Maybe this is closer to Balderdash or Liar's Club.
- anonymousWe have gotten calls from this Rick McCoy saying it was about a legal claim against my son. They are a scam. They call people all over the country saying there is a legal issue that's about to be filed in court and they need you to call so they can prevent that action. We have gotten the "FINAL CALL BEFORE WE FILE THE LEGAL WORK" at least a dozen times. Any lawyer will tell you that the person/defendant must be contact by mail, preferably certified, return receipt. A judge would laugh in their face if an attorney said, well I left messages on the answer machine. Real attorneys do not call to negotiate with a total stranger on behalf a person filing charges against them. Usually there is some money issue they claim can be settled. Unfortunately some folks panic and pay these scammers. TELL THEM SEND IT TO ME IN WRITING FOR MY ATTORNEY TO REVIEW AND DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN OR I WILL BE THE ONE FILING LEGAL CHARGES!!!

- DipperWe just got a call from a "Rick McCoy" from 8442029837 about some case being filed against me. He called my wife's cell too and she asked what the charges were but he refused to answer. Apparently before that he called my parents cell phones trying to get my social security number but they did not give him the number. It is deplorable to me that a person would call and cause this type of stress for a person even knowing we dont owe anything. How can someone go out of their way to scam someone?

- LanaThis Rick McCoy has called my home phone #, cell phone # (also my husbands), and our home address 12 times in the last 4 days. Sounds very official and threatening. Says he's from Northeastern Consulting group, has a case number, will be flied with our local county, mark down as "refusal to cooperate, etc. I filed a case with our local police department. These scammers need to go to jail and considering they have our home address, these threats should not be taken lightly.

- MarshaThe following message was on my computer and froze it. "Major security found virus. Microsoft online support message - due to unsafe browsing. Call 844-874-2593".
Needless to say I did not call that number and called my tech support Maple Tech - which is terrific. They cleaned it up and said it was not a virus. It was a scam to collect money.- Caller: On computer
