These people keep calling and say they are going to prosecute me for a loan that is not mine.  They call me all kinds of names, threaten me.  Someone needs to stop these scammers and put them in jail.

My brother said these people left him a message then they called my house phone and cell phone #stating this case has been forwarded to the district attorneys office and I needed to call these lawyers at 1-877-211-9342 and you have been officially notified and good luck. My brother said they are scammers. If a case is filed you should get something in the mail certified to make sure you received it not an intimidating phone call. Never said what it was for or anything. These people need to be stopped.

They called my sister in law and yelled and screamed at her telling her Marshalls were coming to get me on Friday. I have called them numerous times they cannot give me details as to exactly what they are calling for, states that they are 3rd party collections. I have had a man yell at me telling me to go [***] myself after I explained i had no idea what he was speaking about. He told me to pay my [***] debt. I stated I glady would if I can receive something in writing as to where the debt originated and when. Told me they do not have that information when i asked him for his full name and to speak to his supervisor about the way he was speaking to me he hung up called back got someone else another male explained why I wanted to speak to a supervisor he stated no pay your bills [***]. I will be contacting a lawyer in regards to these calls and the harassment that my self an others have had to endure.

supposed law firm asking for Joseph Barker, there is no one here by that name, don't even know the guy!! They keep calling, threatening etc. I have called back again and again, only once some one answered, sounded like her was sick and in the bathroom! Went through all their FAKE depts., usually get no one, just a static noise! Somebody stop these jerks!!

Left a voicemail for my dad saying “This message is intended for (my dad's name) this case is being forwarded to your District Attorney's Office into your name and social security # for further information on the charges being filed you need to get in contact with the rep  attorney at 877-211-9342 again the number is 877-211-9342 you have officially been notified by them....Good luck" Blocked their number & let my dad know not to listen to these scammers.

Called me from 844-880-0622 about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

Complete scammers. They call about this time each year, same vague threat.

Don't let them fool you with their "official notification." Call their bluff if you answer: Ask them which county or circuit the "case" is being filed in. Which state? Ask the district attorney's name. Tell them they have to fax you a court filing so your attorney can look it over. Pin them on _their_ name and whom they represent. Then enthusiastically tell 'em to shove it up their rears.

Here's what voicemail transcribed:

"This message is intended for Ladonna Love. A case is being forwarded to your district attorney's office linked to your name and Social Security number for further information on the charges being filed. You need to get in contact with the representing attorney at 877-211-9342; again, the number is 877-211-9342. You have officially been notified. Good luck."

This person call me at work, they have to get a life, they have to be stop!!!!!

They have a place for eternity for people like these people if they don't change their ways. They said there name was something like: Modo, Daniels & Loss on my voice mail. I may have spelled the names wrong as they didn't say them clearly enough! The 'legal representative' (Ha!) was very insultive and rude.
Scammers!!!!! I'm very strongly assuming.

My husband picked up the phone then part way thru let me listen. It was a robo call for my brother! who lives miles away and the message was much the same as others have posted here, that there was a case being forwarded to the DA's office and call an 877 number. Sounded like a scam, and looking here, seems for sure it's a scam. But, how come no one can stop these freaks and disable the numbers or something?

I got the same message left at work as Tracey R, word for word even the good luck part!!! How do they get away with it??? and if #45 gets his way all protections from payday loan scammers will be lifted.

Called her a few minutes ago. Let machine pick it up...robo call that is prerecorded with fill in the blank names. Ridiculous what scammers will do...please people...don't buy this crap. Any legal action will come to you via certified mail or through a process server. These guys try to scare people into thinking they have done something wrong in order to get you to call them and give them your personal information. Don't Do It....

They called again, for my brother! How and why I don't know and don't care. I left a note on here 4/12 for similar call. This is the # they call from and go on about a debt and the name and SS# is being fwd to the DA..call 877-211-9342 and "good luck"
It was a robo call again too. I don't want to call them back; suggestions?

A guy/machine left me a voicemail saying the same thing as what the other people on these posts are saying. I called back and they said a lawsuit was being filed against me due to a loan of $500 that I owed to some loan company. They wouldn't tell me what company it was just that it was from JDC processors or something like that. And that if I didn't follow along with it that they were going to charge me about $1000 due to court costs. I told them to let that loan company call me back because I have never owed loan companies before. I am sure it was a scam.

Call blockers work wonders. And re: your previous message, a lot of these calls originate overseas and the callers spoof local numbers so there's not a lot that can be done beyond blocking the calls yourself.

You are correct, it IS a scam. A legitimate debt collector would mail you proof of the debt via US Mail as they are required to do within 5 business days of their initial contact. Scammers such as this just try to scare you into paying over the phone by threatening you with court and with being arrested. However, you cannot be arrested for being in debt and even if you WERE going to be arrested you wouldn't be warned in advance. Block and ignore these calls if you can.

Have left same message for me saying going to forward to DA office in my county, I live in Louisiana, we have parishes.  Tell me I need to call 877-211-9342.  Have no clue what they are talking about.

They're just trying to scam you. If you can, block the number. If not, simply don't answer when they call.

There's no way to stop the calls from being initiated.  Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on numbers you do not recognize.  Block the entire 844 area code; it is often used by scammers.
