- on the do not call list in floridaCalled them back twice today. Second time I was informed my number had been removed from their list six months ago, the man was rude to me and hung up the phone. Vultures on a fishing expedition. Do not bother talking to them, they think they are above people they talk to.

- ReThe first call was a couple weeks ago and the lady said a letter was being sent to me and she wanted to discuss it before I received it...still have not gotten a letter in the mail. Today I got a call from a guy saying he had left me several messages...feels like a scam, I don't owe any debts and my credit is clean.

- Deereceived a call from this number, with a very quick message regarding collecting a debt. Called back and spoke to a male named James who was very rude when I asked for his last name. He became very upset when I told him I googled this number and the results indicated that this is a scam. He said they were collecting a debt and provided a name that I have no idea who it is. I told him he had the wrong number and he hung up on me. I think this is a scam. Also used phone number 844-880-9293

- JKSReceived a call from this number about 30 minutes after receiving a call from a Mississippi number... Hmmm coincidence? No, I don't think so... They didn't leave a message (imagine that)... I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. Blocking the number... They can't be bothered to leave a message, well I can't be bothered to accept their calls. Suspect it's a SPAM/ROBO call.
- Guest| 1 replyReceived a call from this number some guy left a message on my voicemail saying that he sent out a settlement letter and the offer expires at the end of the month if he doesn't hear back he will let his client know that I'm not willing to resolve it. He never said who the message is for nor does my message on my phone say my name. I thought it's illegal to say things like that on a voicemail or answering machine. Left another number to caLloyd back

- BigA replies to GuestWithout hearing the exact message I can't be 100% sure, but it sounds like he left too much information. In any case, first contact has now been made, so this is what needs to be included in that "settlement" letter (note that you have 30 days to dispute the debt by law):
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

- LisaI have been receiving these "Summit Receivables" calls for a few weeks now. I ignore them and the more I do that, the nastier they get. Today, the woman on the recording was actually yelling her message stating that I cannot continue to ignore her and that the "payment I made was rejected by the bank" Well honey from Summit - if a payment was rejected by the bank, don't you think the bank would notify and charge me? These creeps think we're stupid!! Scam Scam Scam!!! How do we stop these crooks?
