Just this is fraud call. call about legal document that fail to deliver. and wants me to call them. Fraudsters......Beware of such calls

They told me it was a class action lawsuit and a legal document failed to deliver. Called the court house. Scam.

I got several messages from this number and they have called my family. Saying I have missed a court date and trying to take me to jail call the courthouse nothing pending scam

Calling family saying I fraud the state of Wisconsin.

They call me everyday and leave messages. Stating I have failed to let them take money from my financial institution. They are going to press charges on me if I don't pay. I will be a felon and spend time in Federal Prison. I wont answer they leave this on my voicemail. They have called family members and told them the same things. They know a lot of my personal information. Please don't talk to these people they are SCAMMERS!!!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

The call comes from number 844-686-2596. when I sent an automatic text that said "sorry, I can't talk right now" and declined the call; Google sent a text back saying "Thank you for sending a message to Start the Heart, LLC..."  The caller left a voicmail in a thick accent that I could barely understand, but I was able to make out that there was a "formal complaint" about me. They've called my family too. Oh, and the called kept calling me a "him" and "he." The number that was left to call back was 844-686-2596. I called it back and the man who answered said "processing." I asked for the company name and he said "PMC." He declined my request for an address stating "we are a private, not for hire law firm." I asked him why he wouldn't give me an address and he kept asking if I had a claim with the company. This has SCAM written ALL OVER IT! I made a formal complaint with my state's attorney general's office. I encourage all of you to do the same so we can get these [***] shut down!

Similar message to what's been reported but not using my name.  Using "theresa duvall " and stating a bank transaction or warrants.

Calling me saying that I have a returned item from a bank account. Have been calling my family too. Beware it is a scam.

Same thing except im a police officer trying to tell me I wrote a bad check in a state I've never been.  Scam of course.

Have any of you contacted police or authorities to report this fraud.

Just ask for the Company Name and Address, then call Police and file a formal complaint for harassment

Called with a bogus cash net loan that I've never taken out when I offer my lawyers number all of a sudden he got talking faster and threatening and then said I will be arrested and hung up
