- Rei| 3 repliesThey are persistent and will call daily. They left me like 5 voicemails. Called them to see what they had on me and they had nothing. They have you confirm the last 4 digits of your SSN before divulging any information. I told them to quit scamming money off me and the lady I spoke with hung up pretty quickly. I called a second time and someone else answered. Had them repeat which company they're from and further asked which state their company is located in and she didn't answer. She saw in her system that I had spoken to someone previously and transferred me but nobody answered just heard background music. I hung up and called again and I still hear the background music.

https://recordowl.com/company/peter-asset-management-pte-ltd - Liz A.This company calls our business from a couple of different phone numbers - usually 805 numbers, multiple times a day. There's usually some message that says something along the lines of, "We've attempted to contact you numerous times" and then "Press 1 to speak to a live agent." I have never gotten through to anyone, I just hear hold music. I have tried calling them back. Once I just left my phone on speaker while I went about my day and when I checked back after 2-1/2 hours- I was still on hold! I would really like to find a way to file a complaint against this company. I've gotten a lot of annoying callers, but never like this!

- Hope| 1 replySo, if they are Peterson Asset Management, and this is their website ... https://petersonassetmanage.com/ ... they're website is through Go Daddy. I am going to send a complaint to Go Daddy (abuse@godaddy.com) and mention that their client is involved in abusive practices. I tried calling the phone number on the Peterson Asset Mangement's website, and it's the same hold music. 844-593-9078

- MikeHuntleton replies to HopeWon't do you any good to complain to GoDaddy, since they will send you an email stating they will only respond to requests by law enforcement or court order. This why many scammer use them to hide behind.

No, Peterson Asset Management Pte. Ltd. is an investment management company, not a debt collector.Liz A. wrote:They are a company in Singapore apparently.
Poster "Hope" appears to have found the website of the "Peterson Asset Management" in question.
Their domain was registered on 2021-03-31 for a 2-year term.
Their site is very "cookie cutter" in nature (considering the "Powered by GoDaddy" link at the bottom of each page, probably dashed together from an available GoDaddy template), does not give any location information and the only contact methods are by pop-up forms wanting name and email address or by calling 844-593-9078 (no reports for that number, so far) with available hours listed as "Monday - Friday: 10am - 6pm" (some what problematic considering no mention of the time zone it applies to).
It would be useless to use the link left by "Zol" to complain, as that is for the wrong company. If this is an actual debt collection company they are fairly new (based on their domain registration) and probably are not even registered with D&B. If they are a scam, they definitely would not be registered with D&B.
Here is an excerpt of information oft posted by regular poster "BigA" about dealings with Debt Collectors who claim you owe money:
It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contain a “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that dispute/debt validation request letter by certified, return receipt mail.
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
List of State AG’s offices: https://800notes.com/faq/attorney-general - TJThey called several times and left voice message 4 times, I knew it was a scam but I called, they toll me I have a loan with them and they are giving the option to pay and resolve the matter or to take legal action, they hung up on me
