I didn't. No reason to do that. But they are calling my number.

I never write on these 800notes forms, but thought I needed to about these people. They’re scum. They called me starting a few months back about a “debt” of my wife’s, and “allegations” against her. I immediately looked up the number, saw the scammer comments all over the web, blocked the number, and rolled my eyes. This isn’t the first company to try this crap on us. Late last month the calls started back... except this time they were calling my brother trying to reach my wife. He alerted her, and we told him about the suspected fraud. This morning, early, they called her dad and left a message. She, very frustrated about all these calls, called them back from work. She called me; very upset. She said there was a loan taken out in her name from a legit company called NetCredit, and the debt was sold off, and then handed to Jacobson & Wright to collect. They had bank info, social security info, addresses.... enough info to somewhat convince my wife that this was real. Thank God she didn’t give them any further information. She asked for validation in writing. I found the information for NetCredit, and called them. They said that my wife’s name is not in their database, and they do not do business with any Jacobson & Wright. NetCredit emailed me information on reporting scammers like this, and suggested I report them to the FTC. I spent all morning calling and reporting, if these people call you, please tell them that they are under investigation with the FTC, the CFPB and the credit Buraeu. If you have the time, and can follow through yourself to report them, please do. They are not even listed in the government system as a licensed collector or law firm. I revieved a voicemail giving me the same phone number for my or my representation to call back regarding an urgent matter. Probably a scam 🙄

Got a voicemail from a Mr. Callson telling me theres and urgent legal matter and for me or my attorney to call 844-990-5776 to address this legal matter. Havent called them back and dont think I'm going to now seeing others have recieved the same phone number. 🙄 Get a real job Mr. Callson.

I would say this is a bottom feeder not so hot legal firm who buys old uncollected debits thinking they can rattle you enough to to pay them something, anything. They take these bundles they purchase in bulk for pennies on the dollar because most of the "up n up collection agencies" have tried to collect on and failed. They also had bought bulk uncollected debit packages. Did what could, got what they could. Rebundled them and passed them off on to some other bottom deweller that crawled deeper in the whale [***] than they do.
I put them in my DNA (DO NOT Answer) listing for my contacts with a silent ring tone so they do not disturb me.
They can call as many times as they want and the only time I know they have called is if I have the phone in my hand at the time they call or I see a voice message has been left.
Good luck to those that are on hard times and are being hounded by loser law firms that supplement  their firms income with debit collection files.

This is a scam dont give them money

I suspect these are people who buy old debt files since they are in NY.  I once worked as a Director for a company that dissolved after I left and for quite a while had to fight off collectors for bad debts they left when dissolving the company.  There were old records of people who worked for the company, and they got my name there.  This goes back to 1997 and still some debt buyer tries to call and intimidate me every once in a while, even though I had nothing to do with these debts.  When these guys called and left a message on my cell phone recently, it didn't even say who they were calling for.  It first said in a prerecorded clip "this is a message for -- and then a long string of numbers" -- not even a name--  and then there was a not so nice message from a woman. I blocked the number.  Note that I do not use my name in my voice mail message.  So how do they know who they have contacted, anyway.  Now a guy calls on a very old cell phone I have kept as an emergency backup, and it won't block numbers because the technology is old.  He says in his message that I spoke with his associate -- which is a total lie.  Beware -- he calls on 469-217-7267 and she called on 832-990-9244, and my phone identifies these as mobile phones. I also believe they try to send some sort of bogus MMS texts to cell phones ( multi-media correspondence) to a cell number to scare people because they may not have any valid addresses because the debts are so old or even bogus. I don't open those type of messages without knowing what the subject of the message is and who it is sent from because of someone hacking my phone before.  I checked the web and their website isn't operative -- none of the links work, and the Better Business Bureau and multiple places have complaints on them.  Some of the complaints say they used to use the name Marval and Associates which also had the same sort of complaints against them in years past.  Legitimate legal firms and even debt collectors don't operate this way.  If they were legitimate, they would send you proper correspondence and allow you to send them proper replies or requests, including a cease and desist notice, if you so wish.

Received my 3rd call from 719-309-9694 stating that they are looking for Andre (Andrea) Williams & that I need to call them back on 844-990-5776 or I'd have legal action taken against me. Pressed 1 & told the individual who answered that I have told them I do NOT know, or have ever known, anyone by this name - told them that on Dec 11, Dec 16 & now today, the 19th & they need to stop calling me.  Decided to look up their address & such by phone number & found this. Feeling like an idiot so next time they call - let the game begin!!!!

Called from 901-808-9341 asking to to call 844-990-5776 about a debt.they are scammers.I didn't call

I had a call come tru my famliy stateing that i had to call back. Because i was being treat to pay 776 dollars from a loan of a check cashing store back in 2017 3 years ago today they said i could settle for 562 dollars and after i paid wish by the way worst mistake ever i googled them they show up as a major scaming busness i stop my card tru my bank and the weard thong is that the court clerk office number is not the same as they told me to call so tomorrow i will be reporting it to the court house

They called my brother in ohio stateing that i had a court date to go to but when i got a hold from the police office they said that there is no court date it has to be a major scam dont worry im a woored my self kinda sos we gota be more carefull ps please be safe ans god bless

So I got called, I knew of the debt they spoke of, had all their ducks lined in a row and paid $100 in good faith and a payment plan before reading all of this. How do I go about resolving this? Also meant to receive a docusign and have yet to receive that. His name was Mike Roth of Jacobson and Wright.
