Caller is calling on a daily basis. Left an automated message with office hours and phone number. Then someone picked up the phone and said hello. I also do not answer calls from numbers that I don't know.

Go to https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and file a complaint against them with the Federal Government.  That they hide their name on the Caller ID is a dead give away they do not consider themselves legitimate.

Got a call from this number on my cell today. At first when I answered, it was a recording saying I had to call back some number. Then an actual person came on the line, asking for some weird name I'd never heard and I said they have the wrong number and to remove my number from their list. Then I put them on the block caller list! Seriously, I am sick and TIRED of getting wrong numbers on my cell. They should stop recycling phone numbers so quickly

1-845-512-1599 calls often as AACC on my caller ID. I never used to answer since I don't answer unknown callers but my dad answered once and he said they asked for me by name. I do have alot of debt from different companies though so I called them back once and it was dead silent. Kinda freaky.

AACC are BOTTOM FEEDER SCUM BAGS plain and simple. They buy old debt that is legally not collectible. They attempt to collect the money by skirting the law. WARNING, check your credit report for a month or so after these scum bags call. They will open the old debt illegally and jack your credit up. There's no reason to open an collectible debt, but these scum bags found some sort of loop hole to open it back up.

It is the bottom feeders of collectors.  They are collecting on ddebt which has already been removed from your credit history.  Do not worry, this debt is not valid, but I think they can call. . .

They wouldn't send me the proof either, and they are not listed on my credit report. I already asked them by "Cease and Desist" to stop but they keep doing it. At least its not as bad as it used to be now. I just don't answer the phone when they call.

Received multiple calls from this number at my home, my mother's house, and now at work. They leave very vague messages but say usually "This is a personal matter but of extreme urgency", then leave that number to call back to.

I have settled all my debt from past problems so I don't even know what this is about but when I called them to find out they flat out refused to tell me the source of the debt.

This company is criminal and should be prosecuted or investigated.

As far as I can tell, these are all the same company.  Allied Acceptance:  AKA Asset Acceptance, AKA Apollo Group, AKA First National Collection Bureau, AKA Midland Credit...who knows what other names & phone numbers they are using. So far area codes are: 845, 425 & 775. They buy very old, uncollectible debt, paid or not, & hound you with threats to ruin your credit, sue you, etc., but refuse to provide proof or stop the harassment no matter what action you take to stop them.  More than one representative has admitted to me that they know they're breaking the law.  Why isn't there a law to force them to prove to the credit reporting agencies that the debt is legitimate before they can add it to your credit report.  I've wasted more time trying to clean up my credit after the insane, unwarranted, illegal, vicious damage they've done. They even have the nerve to add it to your credit report if your name just sounds similar to the person who actually owns the debt. The best advise I can give is DON'T EVEN PICK UP THE PHONE, don't speak to them, DON'T ADMIT ANYTHING (THEY CAN START THE SOL CLOCK AGAIN),don't even have your name on your answering machine. Once they connect your name with your number, it snowballs out of control from one agency to several. Good luck, you'll need it.

Thanks a ton for the much needed info! These people are making my life a living hell illegally & wrongfully (as in I don't owe the debts they claim) under the guise of several different names.  Bless you for your willingness to share the info you've obviously had to pay quite a price to collect.

I received a phone message that  said I'm Mickey Hart Debt collector and to call this number. 1-866-580-4816. Caller ID was from  AACC. I have no outstanding debts. I did not call this number. I looked up the number on the caller ID From: AACC (18455121599) and looked it up on the internet and found this site. There are so many scams out there these days I'm afraid to open e-mails or sometimes to even answer my phone unless I know the number.
I wish these people could be caught and put in jail where they belong.
