I agree. they keep calling me too, but they never leave a message. I never answer the phone . I will have to change my number.

Got a call today for the first time. Didn't leave any message. Didn't realize this number has such background until i just google'd it. Did anyone report to Police or did something like that?

each time they leave an automated message, for my X wife attempting to collect
a debt. leaves his name and number, Mickey Hart at 1-866-580-4816. always let the answering machine pickup

This is a Collection agency, plain & simple. (So the "Do not call registry" doesnt apply to them).
These guys buy up VERY OLD debts that are getting ready to expire from records & statutes of Limitations. If they find out it's infact you, they can restart the SOL Clock again and then they will not give up harrassing you. RECOMMENDATION: Screen your calls, Dont answer to strangers, and for gods sake, take the "HI IT'S ME STEVE, LEAVE ME A MESSAGE" (or whatever)message off your machine!!!
Oh,... and dont leave your real name on this website when you comment,.. they look at this space too!

I get calls from this number. I didn't answer, because I didn't recognize the number, or the name that came on the caller ID, which is AACC. I googled the number, to try and find out who they are. I have never answered, but they call every so often. They never leave a message.

ya. was asset acceptance bill collectors. They are [***].  were calling for somebody that owned my phone number years ago.  funny thing is that i have a cease and desists against them.  I should just file complaint with attorney generals office just for the principle of it.

The person who called refused to identify herself other than say her name is "Kelly"...then she told me she couldn't identify any further information unless I verified my social security number...yeah right! I hung up.

I'm getting calls from these scumbags once again.  Seems like it was about a year ago the calls starting coming for someone I've never heard of.  I've tried to tell them they have the wrong number but the call and call and call and...

How does one go about getting the cease and desist order?  I'm going to complain to the DNC website now but I'd love to have a court order in place for the next call I get for someone named Gina.

Did you know you can say almost anything you want to these idiots WHEN THEY CALL YOU (not when you call them). I like to refer to their moms & wives & donkeys doing all kinds of stuff (fill in the blanks) which usually ends the call quickly!! LOL!!!!

called today. i answered out of reflex. thought it was a wrong number when the girl asked for someone who doesn't live here. i told her that and she rudely hung up. then i Googled the #. doubtless these people are working with old phone numbers from people who owe somebody something. as long as it's not you, it's harmless but annoying. screen calls (i.e., do not answer them) is all you can do if they're exempt from the DNC.

Boy these calls are annoying. You think you are doing these collectors a favor by calling them back and telling them they have the wrong number on file. Callled on a debt which is probably 12 to 13 years old. After hearing message and looking at the caller ID I did not answer the phone.
