I am here to tell you that even though he may have an employee who is unfair, Brad Rephen is a fair and honest person who has treated me with respect and kindness.  You should all try to remember that he has a job to do as we all do and unfortunately, he has to deal w/people who owe money.  If you feel you are being treated unfairly, I suggest you contact Mr. Rephen and explain your needs or what not and expect to be treated w/fairness and respect.  He has to try and weed out good from bad and do what he is paid to do, so remember that his job is not easy.  He has to have hundreds of people locked up weekly and does not enjoy this, but you must try to work it out with his firm if you owe the money or whatever and I assure you that you will be pleased.  It is childish to assume that he is bad because of an employee on a power trip.

More like carrie is defending him because she managed to convince him that she would pay off her bounced check in installments, of course she never made any of her payments, just a perpetual dead beat.

First of all Carrie, he can’t lock anyone up. He doesn’t have the power to do that. If you believe that, then he has you brainwashed! Secondly, I don’t owe any money – these idiots are calling the wrong number! You say his job is not easy, well there are plenty of other DECENT jobs out there. It was his choice to be scum. If these idiots aren’t 100% certain that they are calling the right number, then they shouldn’t be using the phone! I’m not assuming that he is bad, I KNOW that he is bad. After all, he is a debt collector. He doesn’t weed out good or bad, he assumes that everyone is guilty until proven otherwise – more reason why he is scum. They don’t believe I’m not the person they think they’re calling. Bradley is responsible for the action of his employees, and he needs to be taken down! No excuses, Bradley is pure scum of the earth!

Joe, maybe you should take 1 minute out of your day to take the time and tell the person wrong number and explain politely that it's the wrong number.  You get mad, yet haven't taken the time to explain that you don't know this person.  yes it's unfortunate, but you seem too boneheaded to take your time to explain yourself.

Josh, they’ve been explained numerous times that it is the wrong number and they don’t believe me. Try reading the post fully before you respond next time.

Mark Cooper says hes with the law firm of Brad Rephen, when you call back it says it is a debt collection agency.

I have received a recording on our voice mail from this Mark Cooper guy saying that he is a lawyer and that I am being sued.  He says nothing about a debt in the recording at all.  Thank you for posting information about this guy.  I just assume pay the bill via mail then to talk to this jerk.  He is not being honest in the recording he left me.

My sone wrote a couple of bad check for his meds and this SOB Steve Tucker from the Law Offices Of Bradley J. Rephen has been calling my son and yelling and screamming at him and thretening to have him arested.
I just heard of this from my son so I started doing some investegating on this guy and the complaints are 100 mi long.

They called me for a 70.00 returned check from Nexcheck in Birmingham Alabama, they said I owed 229.99. I paid the amount. Now the whole thing is showing up on my credit report as not being paid. I have called Rephen Law firm three times requesting a paid receipt for my account and I was assured it would be mailed. That has been more than 2 months, recently I have been denied a mortgage loan because this is on my credit report.

You need to immediately file a complaint with your State's AG's office, the FTC and dispute this with all three bureaus (Experian, Transamerica and Equifax) VIA certified mail, with return receipt requested:

Yeah I pulled my credit report and this guy's information came up too. Bradley Rephen he was a nasty SOB too. He said let me call you back in five minutes after I pull up the account which means, "let me call you back in five minutes with the tape recorder, you have NO knowledge of and is illegal". Naturally I denied having the debt even when he gave out all my information. He said I owed 229.00 for something I have no knowledge of whatsoever. I told him I was the victim of a home insvasion Christmas in the year in question but I wasn't sure exactly because I didn't have a police report in front of me and repeatedly told him I have never written a bad check. Then he wants to threaten me with court saying I will owe up 700.00+ in court fees etc etc..I still denied the debt because I never wrote a check for any amount he says I did. I do have it in my police report from the same year I was the victim of a burglary and personal information was taken so if he wants to sue he can bring it. Then he said call him back when I want to settle the debt. This guy is nuts! Some lawyers really need to disbarred. I can't wait until my husband finishes law school so he can defend the little people like us!

you guys are stuipd and a group of professional dead beats, scum bags. i got locked up for 3 years for 3 bad chks i had out an now i have bed credit. can t get a job and i have a crimnal record. rephen is no joke he will sue u and he will lump u in with a bunch of dead beats so its worth his time. i was in a group of 20 other people that passed bad checks

by the way u learn a lot of law in jail. by law he is allowed to record the calls as long as one person no about it. an the collection agency or ur bank r the only people who have to send you a letter. read the ucc law. they used the recordings against me in court. n the even had copys of letters sent to me by the collection company. 3 years of my life gone. cause i was to stupid to work with them...

I know some may be upset and think is a joke. But, I am here to tell you that it is not. Mr. Cooper did give me a list of the clients who turned my files over to their firm. I called each one and they all referred me back to his law office. I haven't had a bad experience with him and he acutally worked out a plan with me. So if it's possible Just ask these simple questions if he calls again. Name of the companies that you may owe.(call them to verify it, The Total amount, and can he work a payment plan out with you.
