- DorothyThey keep calling this business which is a library asking for an employee. They were told employees cannot receive personal calls, no matter what. But they keep calling many times a day.
- Caller: Chase
- Call type: Debt collector
- Bent-overOf course they are crooks,of course they received billions of $$$$$$$$$ of our money... not once ... but twice from the Feds. Are they supported in harassment? YES... are they supported in driving us into the ground financially until no one has a job, a roof over their head or able to pay electricity or buy basic groceries? .. hell YES.
The problem is the corruption and greed of the Fed gov and the decades of power struggles for every penny we can scrape up. I have yet to see any fed aid from trillions of dollars, but the IRS is after me for $1000 on unemployment tax! Going to garnish my wages.. guess the workstudy job at minimum wage may give them a few pennies.
The problem is the government working with the crooks in the banking industry. write your senators and congress and representatives... We have to stop this ... the greedy politicians and fat bankers wont. - MFirst call? They hung up. Second? They claim that I have a Chase visa credit card with a debt of $200. That's nice. I don't HAVE a Chase credit card. So she offers to put me through to the "fraudulent claims" department, or she can give me the #. I say give me the #. Takes her about 2 min to do so. Right then I knew something was up. Got the #, checked it with the # on Chase's official site. Surprise, surprise, the number given wasn't on Chase's site ANYWHERE. So I googled the #. It's a scam. DO NOT give these people any of your information.
- bkThis is collectors for Chase. Told them they reap what the sow. In 2007 I paid off 3.5 million in small business loans, had an 830 FICO score, and had ran my own business that employed 30 people for over 16 years. Then the banks decided not to make small business loans any longer because they had taken bad risks on buying up junk mortgages. I held on by operating on my savings, my retirement, and my kids college funds, but was forced to close my business and lay off all my employees. Now I can't pay them back... their loss. They made their bed. They can get a judgement against me, but can't attach what isn't there. By law they can't take my medicaid and foodstamps, so screw them. I also advised my employees not to bankrupt themselves trying to pay these crooks, they got our tax $$$ with the TARP (JP Morgan/Chase) bailout.

- Whatever, this isn't ChaseI continuously receive calls from this "company". I hate to break it to everyone bitching about what a bunch of crooks Chase is...but, this isn't Chase... Unless Chase has a few employees and managers operating under the radar. My father has a friend that works pretty high up in Chase, and he has no idea what any of these numbers are, or where they're coming from. If you look on their website, none of the number "Chase" is calling from even appear. This is just some scam claiming to be Chase, looking for a way to get your social security number, and some of your money. They call me constantly, but I did block their number. it was quite ironic, they were the first people to call me on my birthday, at about 7 AM. Apparently I owe them money on a credit card bill... And I have been getting this voice mail from them since I was 16. What kind of average sixteen year old even carries a credit card in their own name?

- MattThey just called me and left a message. The 847-488-6100 number on my called ID was different than the call-back number they left. I called the number they left and was immediately asked me for my account number, I told them I didn't know it off-hand. Then they asked me for my SS#...I said I couldn't provide that, I didn't know who the heck I was on the other end of that phone. They said it was Chase. I said "How do I know that? My caller ID had a number with one area code, and the call back number was another" He said that was normal, that the called ID number should be a 312 number. I told him it wasn't, that it was an 847 area code. The person said again, "This is Chase, sir. May have have your mother's maiden name?" I said "No. Other than your word, I still have no idea who I am talking to." Then they said it was Chase, and asked for my home address....again, I declined. Then they said the couldn't help me if I wouldn't provide any of this information. I apologized, told them that I just didn't feel comfortable giving that information out to an unknown entity. They said look, you're late. Pay your bill.
- AMIThis number has called me several times today. My Chase card is delinquent....but I won't go into all that. Nice to hear from the writer "Whatever, this isn't Chase" that a friend high up has no idea what number this is. Chase, I believe, has debt collectors but also there are other probably legal and illegal "tie-ins" to all of our credit information so people are trying to take advantage. My point is, do NOT pick up the phone and do NOT call these numbers back. If you are delinquent and and want to talk to Chase, please just use the number on the back of your card OR if they send you a letter, use the number provided on the letter. This is the ONLY way you can be sure you are talking to CHASE.

- not a chase customerStarted getting recorded calls from this a couple days ago, calling my cell phone a couple times per night. After the first couple of calls I just started ignoring the call. Tonight a live agent left a message for someone else asking for a call back and giving the number 800-323-0524 as a call back number. I don't have any accounts with Chase.

- lorithese people call several times a day if all these people r complaining why is nothing being done to stop them
- MichaelI have my own personal solution. So I am late in paying my Chase bill. I'm in the process of filing for bankruptcy. These creeps call mostly with a 'number unavailable' tag on my caller ID. They never leave a message. If someone has their caller ID blocked or doesn't leave a message, I ignore it. But running to the phone and deciding not to answer it at least six times a day is aggravating.
When they do call, they say they are from Chase, but the callback number is different.
I've encountered all three of these numbers, and am waiting to see if there are any more, as I'm going to report them. I've already read that these people are crooks.- Caller: Chase???

- Tired of Calls| 1 replyI tell them I am going to be recording the call as well....they either instantly hang up or tell me I am not allowed to do that...:) Im not really recording it, but they dont know that....and it really bothers them so try it....
- lamet replies to Tired of Callsit is perfectly legal to record calls
Depends on State Laws whether you have to tell them you are recording or not. MOST states do not require that the other party be told. Others do
If you live in a state that requires that you tell them you are recording - and they claim you cannot do that or they do not give their consent - leave recorder on - tell them DO NOT CALL BACK UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO CONSENT TO BEING RECORDED then hang up. Do this every time they call.
recording laws by state - check your own state website for more information

- FedUp ForReal| 1 replyThey call me all day, beginning at around 7:30 a.m., and don't stop until around 8:45 p.m. They call both my home (land line) phone AND my cell number (which I never gave them), and even after I told them that is my business cell phone, do NOT call that number, they still do it. They never leave a message, just call and hang up. They change the numbers repeatedly, so I'll get mysterious calls from different states, but I never answer. I block them on my cell phone, but still seem to be charged for their calls.
My regular land line phone company won't ALLOW me to block some of their numbers (guess they got paid off, huh?!).
What's worse is, my Chase accounts are paid up and current, but they STILL won't stop calling!
This is the worst kind of harassment!- Caller: Chase
- -!Li54!- replies to HARRASSED BY CHASEI have recently received calls from this #. At first I could not understand the messages that were left on my. Voicemail due to a sting accent. After the second or third message I was finally able to make out my name & the word Chase, but that was it. The voicemail message ended with a lot of giggling in the background, which I didn't find to be very professional at all. Therefore I have not called back. I also find it strange that it is an area code that is a suburb of Chicago. Don't most bank organizations have 866 # s ?
