Listed as a missed call in my call registry

This number has called me over five times in less than 15 minutes!!!! This number as well as others from the 1-847-783-XXXX have called me several times within TWO DAYS- since I registered to get some information of a website advertisement for online classes. I also have recieved several telemarketer like e-mails in which are now going to be filed in my SPAM box. Other unknown callers have also started calling me with in the two day span- 602-387-8787 and 312-777-8341. They are not as persistant but regardless are UNWANTED.

This number called me 26 minutes ago. dont know who they are? I am registered to do not call registry. No message left but annoying. How do we block this stuff from happening if do not call does not work?

Received 82 calls from 847-783-8952 in a period of 1 week.  The number belongs to Colorado Technical University.  Basically this amounts to harassment from the University and should be reported.  This is a unwanted calls and 82 of them in a period of 1 week comes to about 11 calls a day.

ugh! i am getting them too!!!  Even when i'm trying to sleep!!!  After 2 weeks of this torture & reading this webpage i got fed up.  I just called the # back. I spoke with some guy who sounded like a smarmy telemarketer. He said that he is from colrado technical institute admissions & they were merely trying to reach me "a few times" to give me some information.  (B.S!) I was quick to correct  him about that "few times", telling him for weeks i received about 30+ calls a day.  we are talking an enourmous stalker like level of phone calls that basically drained my battery so i had to recharged my phone, and of course when i turned it back on it showed dozens more missed calls from them.  The guy was like, "Oh sorry bout that ha-ha" & tried to give me a sales pitch.  can you believe that???  I cut him right off though & told him to take my ph # off whatever frickin' list it is on & that if i was interested i would call them back.  He promised me i was removed from the list......we'll see........

they called me for weeks. they won't stop.  you have to answer or call them back & tell them to take you off the call list.

I'm getting calls from them!! I looked online about getting a Masters of Education degree and they MADE me pick things in SEVERAL schools I did NOT want information from and now I keep getting these phone calls!!!

I too am getting calls from this number.  Because I searched for info on colleges.  It's like a pack on animals on the attack!  I am going to call them back and tell them to leave me alone and take me off their list.  We'll see what happens!

they call atleast 3 times a day through work and they just called lol they call atleat 3 times a morning while i am tying to sleep and then call 2 or three times while i am at work so its all through the day it is really annoying and it needs to stop you never know when it is an important call and no it turns out to be them i just dont even look at my phone anymore because i figure it is them it needs to really stop what if that important call comes and i just think it is them that would be bad its ruining my everyday life

This number showed up 1/25/08 on my cellphone around noon (central time).  It never rings, just shows up as a "missed call".  Now I get the call every other day at about 9:40 am.

I also got a call from this number but it also came as a "missed call". How annoying. I hpe they don't call me back.

Same number 847-783-8952. I entered a contest. I'll never do that again. It's got be from some company trying to sell something. Trying to block this blood sucker from my phone. You couldn't get out of the page unless you filled out their form!!!!! What's up with that?? This person called twice in 10 minutes. Vampire. Bloodsucker. Bloody ANNOYING!!!

Well, after reading on here who the number is, it makes total sense. I've received two phone calls from this number. Now, I remember why. I saw on MTV something about a free careers magazine. Just one copy and it'd help you see different career options that are successful in your area. I signed up to receive it, no big deal. I do remember seeing after I filled out the information that I could apply to Colorado Technical Instituate.

I also applied for information about online masters degree classes and am now being harrassed by Colorado Technical University. They call me 4 or 5 times a day while I am working. My employer is not happy about this, but they continue to call. They don't leave messages allowing me to call them back...should I truly desire to speak to them. they just keep harrassing me to speak to them during the workday. This is not good!!!

GOD! Me too! They have been calling me since 8 this morning....it is now 3:30. Either they're desperate for money, or they want to drive you nuts.

you could email them and request they forward your number for Do Not Calls..

Damn! This people keep calling again and again and don't know what need to do.

Received three calls in the last ten minutes. On the last called I answered the phone and told them not to call back, we will see how that goes. But it does seem everyone has something in common, such as going online and registering for some type of online college information.

I never answer long distance numbers. But I looked this up and called them back and told them to take me off there call-list. They lady said that it should take ablout a week. I hope I dont receive anymore call. If I do I plan on faxing them a cease and deist letter warning them of harrassing telemarketing tactics. I been registered on the do-not-call list.
