so glad i found this web page! i've been receiveing calls from this number non stop for the last week! as early as 7 am and as late as 9pm. i called back and just asked that they removed my number from their calling list. they assured me my number would be taken off, but we'll see.

I wish they would stop calling my cell.

This number has been calling me for the past three months. They never leave a message and if you don't answer they keep calling until you do. I have asked them numerous times to stop calling me, but nothing. One time my boyfriend picked up and told them they had the wrong number and stop calling, and hung up on them. They ended up calling every 5 minutes for the next two hours and hanging up on us. I just reject the call know when they call, I don't know what else to do.

I have had the same experience- finally called back and they answered Allied Health Schools. I asked to be removed from their call list and they said no problem.

I received this 847-783-8952 # four times!!! I have never heard of it, since all my #'s start with 708. I'm at Target and my bf thought it was a guy , I could tell by his face(since I went out the previous night). Yet STALKERS!!!!!! stop calling me don't they realize you can ruin relationships. They have called all day and evening up till 9 PM started at 8 am.  I was so sick of saying stop calling, that off & on through the day when I saw there number I would pick up the phone say stop calling and hang up. Rude yes, but not rude enough I guess.
They continue to call how does one get on this; we are so tired we didn't fill anything out.

Dont know who this peolple r .They dont leave messages its annoying all I wanted was information on colleges since my son is graduating from high school next year.I will like them to stop calling or i will press charges

Some guy called my house last Sunday afternoon and asked for my granddaughter. He claimed he was calling from the University of Colorado and that she "requested" information about that school. That was a lie. He somehow got this from "my" email address (and I never asked about anything in Colorado - too cold there). I erased it before checking this, but there was an email (again, my address) from CTU, and I now know who they are. It's a telemarketing scam in my opinion.

so I've gotten 2 calls...
the first one I actually answered, to no response from the other line. I thought it was weird and hung up. I then got a small buzz a couple minutes later and missed it, but it was the same number.
and now I'm reading here that it's CTU?
jeez, I just filled out a scholarship thing and it required me to fill some info out for them, so I guess that explains it.
time to call back I think?

They asked for the number being called, and my name and assured me the calls would cease...
now we wait and see...=D

Have received many calls from this number on my cell phone.

this # and another called me within 7 minutes of signing up for university information online, how crazy is that? right after another.

yeah just give them a call and tell them to stop and they will... that is what i did

so my husband's cell has rang 3 times in the last 5 minutes from this number! and all 3 times, there's been no one there. so i called the number back from my phone(actually the 3rd call was coming in as i dialed), and told them they needed to quit calling. and the a$$hole on the other end told me that they couldn't remove my husband's number since he requested college information. well, ok, so i got a little hateful, but d@mn! i'm the one that has to PAY the cell phone bill, NOT them, and they're wasting my minutes! plus, WHY do they need to call THREE TIMES in 5 minutes!?!?

After looking at my caller ID (they had called me twice this morning)...I did a search for the number...All I did was call it back and had them put me on the do not call list.  It was really easy...let's hope it works.

Let's give them some of their own!! Couldn't take anymore and started picking up and giving them a hard time. (If you wait, someone will respond and start talking.) It's always either Colorado Technical University Online or American Intercontinental University Online. I asked why they were calling me -- they said I'd requested soemone call me with information about their programs (NOT) or I filled out some sort of survey (NOT). Told them I was reporting them to the FTC and that they should stop calling me. The calls continue. Did a Google search. These are both outfits owned by the same for-profit education company, Career Education Corp (NASDAQ: CECO.O). The company has been the subject of various SEC, DOJ and state Attorney General investigations for a laundry list of shyster activities over the years (See NY Times article from July 24, 2005, "The School That Skipped Ethics Class"). They are located in Hoffman Estates, IL -- 847 area code. The President and CEO is Gary McCullough and, according to their SEC filings, he makes $3.5 million a year. Their General Counsel is Jeffrey Ayers. I say we should ALL start calling and leaving messages for Messrs. McCullough and Ayers on their corporate office number, 847-781-3600. I intend to just thank them for the pleasure their company has provided me and my family with the over 400 calls we have received from their fine institutions of higher learning. After awhile, maybe I'll just start leaving no message at all -- just like they do. If everyone does it just once, it will totally tie up their corporate lines and their business -- which would be a wonderful thing.
