They are just doing their job?  Is that sort of like "Why did you put thousands of people in the gas chamber?"  Answer "Because we were just following orders!"  Sorry, but when told to stop calling using the "I'm just doing my job" works as well as the previous answer.

I think it's safe to say those are not anything like each other. One involves killing thousands of people by abandoning any morals in their entirety. The other is closer to being that annoying fly that just doesn't go away. But if that's what you want to equate it to then you have more problems than some telemarketers.

Firstly, it was MILLIONS of people that were killed. Secondly, annoying fly is still too kind. I have asked these "people" to stop calling for like 2 years and they STILL keep calling.. not only is that illegal but just unethical.

Telemaggoters will never honor requests to be placed on a do not call list.

Asks for the HR guy..says he said this was the best time to reach him....blah...blah. (sorry lady you called earlier and I told you I wasn't sure when he was getting in so how could he schedule a call with you) won't get past me that easily. TELEpest!

Repeatedly calls. Provided them with our company's unwavering policy on how to become a vendor. She denied she was a vendor. Advised then of our company's policy in responding to surveys, studies, and research, she denied that as well. Never identified herself and avoided the question of the company she was representing. Insisting instead that she is to speak to the person responsible for payroll as she had questions on what services our company uses for payroll.

From this point on, I'm officially done with these worthless jerks.  I have reported every single number, almost everyday to the FCC and not a single one of these BS companies have been affected.  So now I am just going to answer and hang up. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Asked for the person in charge of payroll and I sent him to voice mail.  He called right back and I let it ring. Paylocity. A real jerk!!!!!!!

Was a gentleman this time, looking to speak to the HR Mgr regarding information they had polled of trends and research for payroll and human resources. Advised that our company had been forced to adopt the policy regarding no longer accepting unsolicited in-coming calls, and advised of the unwavering policy regarding new vendors, research, survey, studies. (As outmoded as it is...Our company still believes in supporting the United Postal Svc at this time.)

I have this number memorized when it comes up on my phone display they call so often. I just never answer it along with any toll free numbers. Payroll companies, insurance and the the worse is credit card processing companies.
As the Controller I don't have time for any solicitors.

They are back and yet again cannot fathom why we're not able to transfer their calls to people who do not exist in our company. Nor why we insist that they PLEASE follow our request to follow our UNWAVERING policy on introducing themselves as a prospective vendor with our company.

So you work for them don't you?  What is your business?????
