Started getting calls from this number today. This is the fourth number these scammers have used to contact me. Every time I block one number they call me with a different one!

Been receiving 10+ calls from these people since yesterday with it always being dead air when I answer the call. Any one have any idea who this company is?

C ID: Tallahassee FL.  Received multiple robo-calls from Tallahassee, using several different numbers over the past few weeks, and months.  We never answer unknown numbers.

Last night, my wife picked up an "Out of Area" call, no number by mistake at 10 pm, thinking it must be a relative.
    She immediately realized the mistake.

Today, I have received six calls from different Florida numbers, all presumably spoofed, several not already listed on 800Notes, plus one from Bad Axe, MI, one New Jersey, and another from Exccellus (also probably spoofed since it doesn't seem to be one of their normal numbers) in less than two hours.  And, as I type this, another from Orlando .

The good news: we are about to disconnect this phone permanently.  Maybe, when lawmakers realize the impact on real businesses, they will take some real action.  In the meantime, I wish 800Notes would categorize Spam and other illegal Call Types, other than telemarketer.

Called this number back multiple times to mess with them. A new person picks up the phone every time with a thick Indian accent, trying to give me compensation for medication I have taken in the past, lol. Sounds like a room full of scammers from India.

harrasment calls from this number several times a day.  I cannot take much more of this.  When I did answer and an accented man answered, I told him the person he was looking for is dead.  Wonder if the calls will keep coming?????

These jerks call every day...4-5 times. I finally called them back and some foreigner proceeds that I am due medical compensation for a bladder sling operation that went wrong. I told him 'not interested' but he kept talking on and on that I didn't understand what he was calling about. I told I didn't care what he was calling about and to stop calling..3 times louder every time. He said I wasn't even an American when I said he was calling from India. He said I didn't love this country...at that I told him to SHUT UP and to quit calling immediately and hung up.
These kind of calls are out of control from comments on different sites such as this. They have several numbers and if this one is blocked they use another number.  Do Not Call Registery is a joke...
Hope someone comes up with a solution soon....please!

I started getting calls from this number on     5/8. Prior to this the calls were from
850-558-6685. This started about 3 weeks ago and I get at least 3 calls/day.  They do not ever leave a message.  I see that a comment from Stephanie describes same issue using the same two numbers. I am going to call one of our local news channels that does stories on scams and give them these numbers.  They record the calls and from what others have said it should be interesting

Call blocker might be of some help.  These calls are coming from scammer call-centers in India or Pakistan.  They wo't stop calling.  They are looking for  vulnerable people.  They target women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the immigrant community.   Ignore them and block their calls.

Consider a call blocker and do not pick  up on numbers you do not recognize.  There are thousands of scamming call-centers in India and Pakistan and they share or buy and sell umber lists.

They're basically criminals and ignore all US laws.  Invest in a call blocker.

Received three calls today from this number. They left one, long voice mail message that I could not understand. I don't know if he was speaking another language or if his accent was so heavy that I just couldn't understand it.

The person calls at least once every 2 hours for the past several days.  If I hang up, the person calls me back and hangs up on me repeatedly!  If I answer and leave the speaker open without speaking, when they call and get my voice mail, the person stays on the line without talking for the entire length of my voice mail recording time.  The last time he called I gave the phone to my 3 year old grandson who told him about his birthday, told him he was playing, etc.  The guy finally hung up on him.   This is harassment!! I have filed a complaint with the FCC.  Hope the FCC shuts them down!!

"...share or buy and sell umber lists"

that's a myth, they use war dialers that call EVERY SINGLE NUMBER. Why the misinformation?

The only way to keep these creeps from calling you is to flip the script, and CaLL THEM REPEATEDLY!  Once they determine you're a nusence they may block you, and add you to the only list that really exists...the prank caller list.
They will stop bothering you, trust me.

Plus, the time they waste on you is time not spent scamming victims. Something to think about if you're into doing good deeds for humanity.

The problem with that theory is that they used spoofed numbers, which means that the person you could be calling back is an innocent party.  https://800notes.com/forum/ta-9f0ce767d8019be/a-different-spoofing-victim
If you harass an innocent party and they get law enforcement involved, you will get in trouble criminally.

Call blocker might be of some help.  The calls originate in India and Pakistan and as such cannot be stopped.   Also, don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize.

You're right about that. You don't want to harass innocent people, not only can you get in trouble--- it's wrong.

MAKE SURE IT'S THE SCAMMER'S WHO CALLED YOU FIRST.
pose as a victim and ask simple questions. If it's a scammer, they will be happy to tell you whatever scam they are trying to pitch. (An Indian accent is a dead giveaway)

    Once you've established it's the scammer's you're dealing with....Bombs away!
