I got 2 calls in the last hour.  Second time I answered and they wanted to know if I was the main user of my computer.  I told them to remove my number or I would report the number to the police.  He hung up.

This number is constantly calling and hanging up without saying a word...probably because they hear that we are a business.

I agree 100% with unicorn and have been pestering these illegal, annoying, [***] telemarketers relentlessly until they block my number.  Tie their lines up so they cannot continue to rip off innocent (and naive!) people like you and me.  NO your computer does NOT have a virus so STOP falling for these GD scams, folks!!!!  Spam them with 100000000 pictures of smiling pile of poop from your smart phone and then block their number from being able to call you back!  Be relentless!  It's FREE.  It's EASY.  It's MINDLESS.  Spam them on your commute to work, while cooking, while watching TV, while at your kids practices, while you're on the computer.  You have nothing to lose as long as it's a toll FREE number or you are covered for unlimited texts.  Otherwise wait for the CRTC and your gov't to put a stop to them - - - because you totally know that we can make all of these good people in India do the right thing if we just ask them nicely, right?  lol

I also agree about not calling back innocent parties - we actually got one of those Marriott Hotels recordings (which are now also coming Hilton from WestJet) and freaking scum spoofed our own phone number - it was on the caller ID. Call blocking is the obvious way to go. I was called from 850-254-8625 and 'supposedly' from Florida but I didn't answer. I get a kick out of just picking up and immediately hanging up instead. And for folks out there wondering why they get calls when they registered with the Do Not Call list - it's because the gov't doesn't have resources to investigate or enforce.
