Got a call from "Out Of Area" of a person claiming to be Angelo Barone.  Wants my husband to call 855-208-2382 about some supposed legal action.  This is surely some kind of scam.  A few weeks ago there was 2 other calls from some person claiming to be Joshua Carter that said he was from some mediation department referring to some other legal action but these supposed legal actions have 2 separate numbers.  I don't know who these jokers are but I'm glad that I screen all my calls.  Has anyone else had any calls like these.

I got one that said he was John Reese and he wants me to call back immediately I they are coming for me. They were claiming to be investigators and detectives.

I had this number call my work and a relative saying I had legal matters that needed settled or they were gonna file court papers on me.  Said his name was Ken Davis from Lincoln legal.

Someone called me from 855-208-2382 stating they were with "The LA County Legal Service Division" and that they were scheduled to deliver legal papers to my home or place of employment if I did not call back and settle the claim immediately???

I also got a call from a John Reese but it was a different number 855 208 9880 n said they were going to serve me unless I pay He said we was a prosecuting attorney.I think they r all scammers n full of BS.
Has anyone received the same number??
They always tell you that they will serve you,but they don't so I just ignore them.
Eventually they will go away if they are not getting a response.
If not,someone has to stop them.

got a call today from "Jonathan Ross" 855-208-9880... call was for my son. Said he was Head of investigator for Legal Services in Tarrant Co. Tx... he said my son was involved in an investigation, and he needed him to call before he "filed charges", I asked if my son was the one that would have charges filed against him... he said yes. Gave me a phone number to call and a case#. he said he called my number because it was listed by my son as an "emergency contact number"...  This is just WRONG!

Someone called and said it was regarding so and so ... i asked for a call back number, and they gave me that 855# and we called back asking about so and so.. and the guy on the phone said do you have a case #? I said No.. because it was never given... he was also very rude too.. I believe it's a scam and fake since he said "Why don't you ask so and so to call me?" YEAAAAAAAH right no.

I just received a message from a guy named Chuck Davis saying that he was with John Reece's office and gave me a case number.  He said he was a clerk for John Reece and this was my "final opportunity" to present my side of the "story" before the case was filed.  Sounded very official!  Huh??

I got a call from this 855 208 9880 saying they are l.a county legal service and i was scheduled to get subpeona. Im worried and wondering what this is about. Have any of u got subpeona? do any of u got any outstanding payday loans? Ill update this when i contact them tomorrow

Well I get these calls from people telling me to call back or they will serve me papers.
So far,no papers have been served so I just ignore them and laugh.They are in it to get free $ and that isn't happening.
I think they check ur credit report and see that you might owe $ so they tell you anything,it is bs!
They can all go to hell!One day,the time will come for them.

They just want to scare you to pay them something for you not to get served.
They are scammers n I don't give them a freakin' dime,I never call back and never will.
They can call me everyday,but they are just waisting my time and theirs.

One glorious day,they will all pay for what they do,I guarantee it!

a lady name Alexis said she was with the Duval County Legal ( which is FAKE because Duval County doesn't have toll free number. I called the SOA and they indicated to report them for saying they are investigators charges have been filed and pending unless I call them directly and they have a fraud case # this is SCAM FAKE.. she called left this # 855-208-9880..DON'T verify any information don't even call them BACK

** New John Reese phone number ** I got a threatening call from John Reese this morning on a debt that was paid last year. This number I got for a call-back was 855-204-6221.  Upon doing more research I am very sure that this is a bogus phone call and threat. I will call the courthouse tomorrow to verify there aren't any papers being served as they threatened. (today is a federal holiday, wouldn't you know) I have requested they send over documentation, but so far it isn't forthcoming.

You'll find out that it's bogus.  REAL process servers do NOT call you ahead of time - they just show up!

So does anyone know, can we file any kind of suit or judgment against these fraudulent collectors?  I am filing complaints with Atty General etc, but certainly the time and hassle they cost people, should result in large fines or jail time. Any ideas or history on that?

Really, unless you have a company name and physical address - one that isn't faked - you can't really do more than report them to the FTC and your state's Attorney General.  That's why it's difficult to catch these perps - they keep changing their names and addresses so they can keep one step ahead of the law.

got a call from an investigator today from an Unavailable number. stated would be served summons for a debt from 2007. Do not know what he is talking about. The number I was told to call was 855-625-8274 and ask for John Reese.  good thing I googled who this John Reese was.  Seems like the same one calling everyone here.

They called my spouse saying they needed to serve me and said they'll be at my home tomorrow at 10
