- CmanMy husband keeps getting phone calls as well. I called and asked to speak with the guy who keeps calling and it's funny that the guy is in a meeting. So I told the girls they have been calling over a month and she asked me for the number. I told her I'm not giving anything and then told her I know about the scam I read about it on the Internet and I contacted the police. The told her we haven't received anything so why would we be able to go over a page 15. She started getting irritated then told me anything you read on google about us is because the people are angry with us. Then said you husband obviously have a bounced check on our desk that needs to be taken care of. So I told her the funny thing is I've been married to him for 5 years and he has never had a bank account since I've been with him and I'm the only one with the avcount. Then she tried to tell me yes he does! Stupid idiot I'm married to him I would know!!!!! FYI the are a total scam and will try to use every scare tactic!

- Annonymous replies to Lakers| 1 replyMy call was the same as this one... They didnt ask for me by name they just left me a voice mail that said I should have received papers at my job or home and they wanted to go over page 15. He said to call this number back and I could speak with his assistant. I havent called back yet because it sounds weird.
- Ro replies to Nikki Williamsscream into the phone, buy one of those air horn cans and blow it into your mouth phone piece (warning: where ear plugs yourself), sound like scobby do when you answer them... irritate the heck outta them, they will quit!
- can not be scammedRossi & Lombardi is listed with the BBC as a collection agency. This company (based in Cheektowaga, New York) which identifies itself as a law firm uses robocalls to scam people.
The dead give away is that the call is recorded and they never say your name.
The best thing that any of us can do is to not call them but call or file a complaint with the FTC and the BBC. If we all do this, this bogus law firm in its present form will be put of business.- Caller: Rossi & Lombardi

- AJC90210I too have been received these same calls from this company. when I call them I do not give them my name or any other information except the telephone number that they call. I cannot get them to verify that they are looking for me. I submitted a complaint thru the BBB.org site. Seems they have an F rating (not surprising). But if you take a look at all the other complaints-i find the companys response very interesting. Its always the same thing:
Business Response: The debt associated with this complaint and the account associated with it in our office has been forgiven. The individual employee involved in this case has been sufficiently reprimanded as to insure no further complaints of this nature. It has been made known that any employee using such tactics as stated in the complaint will be terminated immediately without question. our company strives to follow all FDCPA laws and regulations. we take any and all violations of this kind very serious and are sorry for any inconvenience this may have been to *** ****** case has been located and, as stated, is now forgiven. all attached phone numbers have been removed and his account has been closed.
very interesting. If you are still being harassed it looks like this might get it to stop.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Not a suckerI received a phone call that my ssn ending in xxxx (which isn't my social anyway) refers that I have been deemed a person of interest in a fraud case. I am scheduled to be served a summons today but before they come to my home or work he must give me this # 855-208-7341 to call and discuss the allegations with Mr. Marksbury. Blah blah blah. I feel bad for people who fall for this. This company makes the phone call sound so intimidating I'm sure some people really think they've done something wrong. What a bunch of bull. I can't wait to tell these idiots they have the wrong person and tell them what I think of their practices as well.

- WTF!I just got a call today from this number. I get them about twice a day but today he says that he is with R & L Capital and I am charged with Check Fraud. (Charging me with my name and SSN) and I should call 855-208-7341. The number that called me was 716-362-7607 but left the 855-208-7341 number for me to call back. I have two banks and I dont even have checks with one of them and the other I know would call me if something was up. Then i read all this and i know its a scam. Just like the rest of the country, i am late on bills but it isnt nothing near being anything like CHECK FRAUD. WTF!! Really people!! Some people are real [***]!!!

- jackie replies to AnnoyedJust got done arguing with these [***]!! Stephen Rossi told me I was pathetic and I should be ashamed of myself. I did research called him back and told him what a piece of [***] he was and how he would be the only one getting sued when enough people get fed up with their harassment and scams. Told him to bank his money bc it won't last long. He said okay yoi stupid broke [***] [***] and hung up. He could at least pretend to be professional. His scam might last a little longer then! I wanted to jump through the phone and rip his face off!!!!
- This is silly| 3 repliesIf you owe a debt pay it and you wont recieve calls!!!! Simple as that!!! Use some common sense!!!! If you owe a creditor money, pay them.....If you can somehow prove that this isnt your debt, the wrong number has been called or that you paid the account, dispute it properly to the company and they will stop calling you. I guarentee it. The reason they have your personal information is simply because you owe the loan with the original creditor and they are trying to collect the deliquent balance. Also be sure to check your credit report in alot of cases the accounts are on your credit report and are affecting your credit. Use your heads people!!! This is def not a scam. The are debt collectors.

http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/paydayloanscam_120710 - ken replies to AnnonymousAha...The Old "They wanted to go over page 15" trick. My gosh, this scam should have gone away by now. Even the Government warned about it quite some time back. Don't call them back. That's what they want so they can try to scare the beejeebees out of your and make you do something not in your best interest. Any collections company, that operates within the law and on the up and up, does not conduct business in that manner.
- marie replies to This is sillyResponding to "This is silly" Sure I would like to pay my debts, that's if i had an income. Some people lose their jobs, get hurt at work, get laid off, etc... WOW Are you that stupid to judge people whom you know nothing about, let alone their financial situation. . So unless you have walked in someone else's shoes, maybe you should keep posts like this to yourself. thanks and hope you never get laid off, lose your job or get hurt on the job.

- Just another oneThese people keep calling me too 3-4 times a day.Again with the reference to the packet I supposedly was supposed to recieve. When they called saying that I was about to be served or what ever, I should have said well I waited all day and you didn't show, so here is my bill..They are just trying to imtimidate you so you will fall prey to their scam. I have got the same call about going over page 15 for the last 2 daysfrom 2 different people at different numbers.

- Wow! Glad for these posts! We have been receiving these calls and I suspected they were bogus because the person never asks for or makes reference to a person. He only states that we will be turned in as not cooperating with the investigation and papers will be filed. I turned my answering machine off but of course they let it ring for 15 times or more to automatically turn the answering system back on. These posts here have just confirmed what I suspected-SCAM! If a creditor needs to contact you, I am sure they would contact you through the mail as well as calls and would ask for the person on the account.
