It's Higher Education Solutions regarding a student loan.

Why do they say they are from a named university's financial aid office?  This made me suspicious since I finished my degree almost 3 years ago.

Because they are hired by colleges across the country to call people who are past due on student loans. They aren't collectors, they just work with you to get your loan straight. They even will call the servicer for you. They are like your advocate! They rock!

Jeff I thought the same thing but I listened instead of hanging up on them and helped me so much! I wish I had someone like that to help with other bills. Don't run from them like I use too. Just answer they will help :)

They help me with my fedral student loans

I kept getting phone calls from this number and kept ignoring them until finally I got tired of them and answered the call.  The lady I spoke to was really polite and helpful.  It turns out it's a third party called Higher Education Solutions that works for a school I attended. They didn't try to collect or anything, they actually helped me suspend payments with my loan company since I can't pay right now.  My advice is if you get a phone call from this number, then ANSWER IT.

I dont know why they are calling me, I have never been to college

They called my nephew, at my number. How they got my number I have no idea. They left a message. I haven't seen, or heard from my nephew in 7 years. Good riddance. I'm just wondering how they got my number.

Been out of college 35 years I have no loan why call me?

Higher Education Solutions has been calling my cell phone continually. I haven't had a student loan for over 30 years and have never gone to the college they mention in the robocall.  I am the only person in my household except for my cats and I'm not taking out student loans for them.  This company is beyond annoying.  I am registered with the Do Not Call registry.  I renewed my registration and filed a complaint.

If you don't have a loan, they may be calling because someone possibly listed you as a contact or reference on an application for their school loan (maybe a family member or friend?)

[***]. They just called me to help with my student loan.  I'm 50 and I paid that [***] off when I was 21.  SPAM!
They said they were calling for Southern New Hampshire University. I asked them for info on their school... I didn't realize that meant I had a Federal Student Loan and never applied for one or admission!  I'm willing to bet those responders saying how great and helpful this BS company is, works for this BS company!

Keep getting calls from this number. They claim they are from my school, something about help with student loans. I graduated 2 years ago and have no student loans...

Unlikely...my student loan has been paid off for years now and they called me. They are more likely a for-profit agency looking to monetize.

BS call. I had a student loan that was PAID IN FULL, they have no reason to call except to fish. Funny thing is, they call my GOOGLE phone number, not my real phone number! Clowns.  Oh, and the people who praise them in these comments must be employees who are paid to give positive results.

They call me constantly! I didn’t go to college, my daughters do but neither have loans so please STOP CALLING ME!!

I dont know how good they are. My son put me down as a reference and have been recieving calls. I am sure that is why aome of the older people are getting calls.
