They called my job and left a msg for my boss stating that I had to call within 24 hrs. or I would go to jail for check fraud. I did call them back and they threatened to serve me papers at work. I did set up payment arrangements through a prepaid card I do not even use anymore. He stated that they had all my information which I never confirmed and some bank acct. number but I wasn't not sure even if it was my previous bank acct. or not. They were rude but the man did not have an accent at all and was very clear. I was supposed to make a payment on this Fri. and stated that they were going to send me information in my email acct. within 15 min. but I never received which made me look the number up b/c something did not feel right. Glad I did b/c they would have been getting a lot of money from me. 872.43 to be exact.

Thank goodness you looked up the number and came to this site BEFORE you sent money!  Don't respond to their calls.  Do, however, file a complaint with the IC3, FBI and FTC.

I received a phone call from an officer Jones stating a took out a payday loan in 2007 and he would gladly resolve this with me.  I can pay him $1,010 by debit card!!! Are you crazy??!!!!!!! I asked him to send me proof of this pay day loan but he could only serve me with court papers.  Guess I'm waiting for court papers!!! How can people do this???

Just got the voicemail, female, special investigator for Northwest Bank check fraud department, she has court papers that will be filed, pause in her voice, December 8th 2011, kept repeating the county I lived in and the words "court" and "police" close together so it sounded like our county police. I had to listen about 4 times to get everything she said and at the end she stated my name, which was pronounced horribly wrong, you have been served. I work 3rd and was awaken by this bitc* I would like to track her down and tell her that if she calls me again I will make sure she no longer has fingers to dial the phone.

I got a message on my phone from a local county number in my city saying they were filing an affidavit by the end of today and if i wanted to resolve this matter to call 855-233-1564. I called the number this man says i owed some company called great lakes bank which i never had. He said i owed like $857, im suppose to call them back with my debit card info. i got scared because it was the county police number. im reading all these posts. so this is a scam. so they are spoofing with local numbers.

This number called my roommate!! She said the number 718-134-5678 kept calling her so she finally answered it. They were looking for me, but they had my middle initial wrong and called me Kristen. They asked her if we would be home tomorrow bc they were going to server me papers. She said no, we work. I am hoping no more info was given out. My roommate told me they "couldn't give her any information" but they had a "case #". The company called themselves K N R Associates.

They said they were calling from blue cross blue shield.  They were talking about my policy.  Total bull.

called from a local town number i answered they didn't even ask my name they just said can you get ahold of her, we have a
complaint against her. i looked up their number scam, looked on line for cases files against me none. dont let them scam you. and if they have proof i owe then mail a certified letter to address. Not scam over the phone cause if you pay one. then you get alot more calls from others, it has happen to me.  i paid one because they scared me to death by threats and now they passed number along for others to scam. i fell for it once not again. you want me show up with a formal letter with proof and id.
