- Tim LongThey have been advised in writing and verbally that the debt they are trying to collect was paid. Paid before services were rendered. I had been dealing with the same vendor, paying in advance for eight years. I don't owe any money, or I wouold pay it!

- AKI received a couple of calls from 1-800-575-5076 (Carlos Valenzuela, USBC Incorporated - Debt Collector)
1-855-233-6432 is the number they left to call in case I am not a person they look for!
First of all, I do not have any DEBTs.
Second ... they ask for my dad, where my phone number had never been used on any of his accounts, and other way around. We do not have any credits, bills, etc together!
And ... he doesn't have any DEBTs either!
So, What do they want to collect? :)- Caller: Carlos Valenzuela, USBC Incorporated (Debt Collector)

- this isn't normalI recieved the message as well many times, for some reason I decided to call the number, it told meand then that the number I am calling has new information it will send me a text message, to recieve information on number you are calling, and something about subscribing to a service that will cost $9.99 a month..... and that is what the text message says too. Thought that was odd, then I decided to call the other number as if I weren't me and I get a message for leaving a message with USBC Incorperated.....?

- NandakorehaI've got this message twice now from Carlos at USBC. The first time I checked all bills, the only one past due was one for my student loan. It was only past due by a month and if it gets more they contact me directly. Then today I got one again. I typed the number on google and found this post. Sounds like it is a scam as I expected. The message also sounds like it got my name wrong. Websites about this sort of scam recommend demanding to see the claimed debt in writing before you pay anything.

- MaeI just received today a call from this number asking for me by name and the guy saying he is calling from USCB trying to collect a debt. I called the number he left 855-233-6432 to tell the guy he's got the wrong person but no live person ever came on line I figured this is just another scam in the works. Beware!

- LesaI received a call from this number today and did not recognize the number. The voicemail message that was left was an automated machine stating that it was an attempted to collect a debt from a Carlos Valenzuela. The only debt I have is with another company who I immediately called. They have no record of my debt being turned over to USCB and warned me that it may be a scam. I goggled the number and came up on these posting. Beware of this scam!

If I wish to report they called this number in error, call (855) 233-6432. If I am not this person, hang up. If I am this person, call (866) 493-0151 at USBC America.

- DoneHave had numerous calls from this business for someone who doesn't live here and hasn't lived here for over 10 years. Got tired of the calls and called 855-233-6432 which identified their business as USBC and said if I wanted my number placed on their do not call list to press 1. Hopefully that stops the calls. BTW, no live voice ever came on the line.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Tip off FBI about this extortion attempt by filing form at: stips.fbi.gov/ - EntertainedFor the past week I've gotten calls from 800 575 5076, the caller claims to be Patty Lopez from USCB and claims I owe debt. After checking all accounts that I do have with the appropriate companies, it was confirmed that I have no debt as I thought. In the message if they reached the wrong person, they request you call 800 233 6432 - I'm convinced that this is just another number to get your correct information so they can call back claiming that the there is debt under your number, I'd advise dont call back.
Just some simple advise, if you do have debt, more than likely you will be notified via snail mail and be advised to call the company representatives or I would imagine people may show up to your place of living or business - not too sure on the last part.
Dont believe the call and if you do, dont call them back - call the companies you actually bank with, have credit with or hospital that would keep on file how much of a past doctor's/hospital visit you would owe.- Caller: Patty Lopez, USCB
- Thy NguyenKeep calling and left voicemail to me every single day. Please help me. What is the purpose?
- Caller: USCB America
- Call type: Debt collector
- KDONT NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK!!!
They have Called multiple times already notifying that we need to call them back because of DEBT. Obviously a scare tactic so do not call back!!- Call type: Debt collector
- KarenB replies to CCOPSame with me. They leave a long msg calling for Eleanor Mess and if not her to call back at this number (not the one they called from) didn't call back. Just blocked

- DaniK| 1 replyHas called every day this week for some person (name unintelligible), but sounds like Gasto Nelon. I’m not that person. I don’t know that person. Says they are debt collectors. I called the if you are not that person number they provided, but it was all automated to place my # on a do not call list. Seems suspicious because there was no verification conducted that I was not the person. Seems unlikely that a true debt collector would take somebody’s word.
