Company representing westgate llc claiming I owed westgate llc for a pay day loan I never got

Called me with same spiel regarding an old debt. Put them on my block list.

here's what I remember of the message I got: "This is Rebecca White looking for(my name in a separate robo-voice) There is a claim in our office against you. It is very important that I reach (my name). Or we will verify your employment to serve papers. Call us back at 855 278 1853. Again, 855 278 1853, press zero to be connected to a live representative."  I swear if they call again, I will demand the personal address and phone number of the live 'rep'.

I'm very glad that I found this! I received a call this morning. They were using an address that I haven't lived in in the best part of a decade and they used my maiden name which I haven't gone by in two years. They knew my old address but not my current one and didn't appear to know my current employer (where I've been for two years) nor did they give the name of my former employer (where I had been for a decade). I went back to see if I could find anything that looked like a payday loan and could find nothing.

When I told the person I initially spoke to that the original company was mistaken and that I was disputing the charges I was transferred to their 'legal counsel' who advised me that I would be taken to court and liable for the original loan amount plus something on the order of $1500 in court fees.

At first I thought it might be genuine and then I realized that they never asked for my current address (which they clearly didn't have) nor did they ask the name of my employer.

I wanted to make absolutely certain so I Googled the number and this came up which confirmed my suspicion.

here's the message I got:This is Rebecca White contacting ...... You're being notified of a claim in our office that is being prepared for delivery. To speak with a live representative now press zero. Otherwise we will be verifying your current address and place of employment for delivery of proper documentation. You can reach our office directly at 855-278-1853."

Mesa is a well-known zombie or phantom creditor the scamming debt collectors use to try to get money  out of people.  Ignore and block the call.

They called me today saying I had a payday loan from Liberty Mutual from 2011. They had the wrong email address and said it was on the bank I haven't had in 10 years, but they had my name, place of employment 2 yrs ago, and the last four numbers of my social security number.
Scarey!!!!!

I guess they aren't aware that Liberty Mutual is an insurance company.

Just happened to me too. Had me a little nervous until I realized that all of the info at had was outdated.
I'm so upset that people out there are doing this. I hate to think of how they treat the most vulnerable populations!

I received the same message..... My name is Rebecca White......then a robo voice says your name.....blah blah blah......it's a bunch of Bulls--t

I just remembered: the live rep on the phone rattled off a list of payday lenders in my area, as if he were trying to get me to help him decide which one I owed. He also knew the banking code for a closed account (r02, I think). He even named Chase, which is a bank, not a payday lender, and never actually asked for the address of my current employer. These are very sophisticated con artists, that's for sure,(nice touch with the live voice on the robo-dialer) but how can you claim to be operating in Georgia when your accent sounds more like Texas.

They did called last time and again called left me message said that they file claim and need my job placement and phone number. I don't know who they are. Didn't say name of company.

I get them calling me as well.  I had my lawyer call them it stopped for a couple of weeks, but then they started again.  My lawyer called them a second time, they never quit

Yes they know everything but then they get defiant when you ask them to repeat their name and then they ask you for your last 4 digits of your social security number.  Very angry and nasty they almost come through the phone and strangle you.

Yes they told me the same thing; I'm still waiting for a letter; however, I had my lawyer contact them, they told him that they would fax over the information in a few days, why not that same day!

No kidding. The guy I spoke to last week sounded like he must be the ring leader/owner of the place; he even knew the banking code for a closed account.  I damn near paid him, but I know that if I had, I'd only have heard from them or someone like them later on about another bogus debt. Somebody has to stop these people.

They just called and said the same thing. How terrible.

855 278 1853 called they proceded to tell me they had a federal complaint filed on me and it was 560.00 right now but it would cost i stioed them told them to send the paper work to my sherrif dept and gave them the adress they got mad and hung up.
