Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

Ignore and block the calls.  Shoreline is simply another "zombie" or phantom creditor used by scammers to appear to be a legitimate creditor.  The scammers will sometimes pick existing companies and sometimes pick non-existent or defunct companies to try to show that the peole the call owe money for some loan or another. Don't fall for it.

Next time these scam artists call be prepared give them a number to call back at them give them the number for your States attorney general not their 800 number or your local police dept. Perhaps if they receive these calls they will react.   They are paid to protect so let's let them do it but give them the information they need.

I received a call from CFS yesterday under this number 18552781853. I didn't answer so they left a message asking for my husband. I called back & they told me that their so called client was going to take us to court because of an outstanding loan we had not paid back. I asked who their client was & she gave me a few different answers. There was "Cardinal management" who is now "Fox enterprise" & when I asked for their contact information, she said I couldn't have it because they're currently suing us & they're not allowed to speak with us. They asked for my husband & so I told them I was the wife. Most "legit" company's usually say "I'm sorry ma'am but we have to speak to your husband not you, can you have him call us back when he's available" or something along those lines. So the fact that I had mentioned that, the call should've stopped there. But it didn't. The lady "Kimberly" went on to explain how my husband owed $400 to her client & if we didn't pay it back, they would take legal action either today or tomorrow where they would sue us for $1500 instead. I told her I would call back I had to talk it over with my husband first. She said "well okay we're only going to be here for another 5 or 10 minutes so after that I'm sorry but we'll have to do the paperwork. Smdh!i hung up & called back 30 minutes later & sure enough, this [***] Kimberly answered. I told her "wow, 5-10 minutes? It's been 30 minutes already & you're still there?" She said "no ma'am, half of the office is gone now but I'm staying till 6pm" nice one. We went at it again & she hung up. I received a letter in the mail almost a year ago where they had said the same thing. I called the number that was on the letter & even looked it up online, it was a different scam company I forgot what they went by. A whole year later & still, no papers. I called back one last time & I went on to argue with Kimberly, again. She was just very rude. She was yelling & even told me good luck in court. My husband & I almost fell for their scam & almost paid $400 but my gut feeling had me worried they were [***] us. Good thing I did my research because come to find out, they were indeed a scam! DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY!!! Once they get a hold of the first payment, I guarantee you they will not stop & will most certainly try for a second one. I hope everyone that works for that scam of a company has all their funds depleted. Karma is a [***] & they will get theirs!! It's funny how it says "if you know your party's extension, please enter it now. If not, please press 0 to be connected to the next representative" I was connected to Kimberly all 3 times hahahaha. Wow!! Kimberly you [***]!!

Oh, & when I asked them what does CFS stand for, they said it doesn't stand for anything. Lmao!

She had my old address on file, employer & the last 4 of my husbands social security number. When I told her we don't live there anymore, she said "oh did you want to update your address" hahaha I THINK NOT! Kimberly & Rebecca are some beeeeeatches that will definitely get what's coming to them. Can't stand scammers!!
