No. Why would you worry? Think about it: If they ALREADY filed charges with your county, why would they inform you AFTER the fact? Defaulting on a loan is not punishable with jail time. EVER. Also, the last I checked, lawsuits and things of that nature are public records. You can call your county to ask them. Rest easy, no worries.

I recieved a call from an unknown number from a Frank Compsumpio stating he I was going to be served papers and he needed me to call 1-844-348-5226 with a given ID # RJTsomething or other but the last four numbers were my actual last four digits of my social which was enough to make me call. I called to hear the same guys voice that called me originally but he stated it wasn't him that called and no outgoing calls come from this office. BS! It was the same guy that called me and I'm sure of it though he argued otherwise. He then asked for my ID number and I wouldn't give him it because it had the last four of my social security in it and I already figured it was a scam, having heard of similar incidents happening to people I know. He couldn't give me any information on where he was out of, the company he worked for, address, nothing. I told him to go to hell and that I knew he was trying to scam me and he told me I'd be served papers in 3-5 business days. I said cool...thanks and hung up. A month later, the same phone call from the same guy with the same BS story. Same voice. Same voice when I called the number. Same cocky attitude but he hung up on me after the "3-5 business day " bull. I called back and he didn't answer and a woman's voice could be heard in an automated message stating it was LM services and to leave my ID number, phone number, blah blah blah. I called about 30 times over and over again just for good measure and to drive them crazy a little then called my local police to report it again.
Where could I report this company where it could do some good in stopping this stuff from happening again, hopefully not to some elderly unsuspecting person that could get scammed by them??

I am a Army Veteran with PTSD. I too was scammer by Landmark Billing. Once I paid, I felt fishy and called back asking for the court date and stayed I was harassed into paying, which I was. They stated they would refund the money which o this date they never did. The same day how ever after collecting myself I called the policead a report, cancelled my card with the bank, filled an FTC report and an FBI notice.

10 days later I recieved an email with a receipt which had a computer virus. From a Columbian email address ".co".
