Looks like this outfit is getting cheaper.  Most of the posts here mention a letter in an envelope; a couple days ago I received a post card from them.  Big bold print on the backside of the card says "THIS IS YOUR FIRST AND FINAL NOTICE".  (I can only hope!)  On the front, they list the year and model for a vehicle that was totaled in an accident over a year ago.  If they are getting lists from the DMV, they are not doing it very often or else they would have known that.  My guess is that they get their info from dealerships; either directly or through other companies.  In very fine print on the bottom of the cards backside is printed "Guardian is an independent nationwide company marketing on behalf of leading third party administrators."  So, if you are foolish enough to take their offer, you would be dealing with heaven only knows what company if you ever have a claim.  (And that is assuming that this is not a pure scam from the get-go, which it probably is.)

Postcards are cheaper, of course !
They might be getting their information from independent repair shops too.
One thing people have to remember is these are not true warranties; they are prepaid service contracts.

Well, it is about a month later and I just received my second "FINAL NOTICE" from this outfit.  (Someone needs to beat them over the head with a dictionary until they grasp what the word "final" means.)  Again they are offering me coverage for a vehicle that I no longer own and which has probably been stripped of any usable parts by the salvage yard that bought it.  I guess in about a month I can look forward to my third "FINAL NOTICE" post card, which like the previous two, will be fed to my paper shredders.

I got the mail on 10/28/2015, so I contacted my dealer, but they do not have a clue on the issues!

This is the best one yet.  My wife received a notice today for a "Vehicle: 2008 MERCEDES BENZ M-CLASS".  Never heard of it.  Guess they must have picked it out of a hat.  Who is "Guarding" the hen house?

This is the second time I have received a postcard from these folks. It is for a car that was sold years ago so this was a total waste. Know this is  a scam so I sure won't be calling. Going directly in the shredder.

...I wonder what % of Individuals make their living in ways like this. There is no contribution to humanity here. Too bad. It affects all of us.
Have you tried to calculate the weight of your annual junk mail, thus the costs related to MFR and delivery to you X every mailing address in the country. The costs, monetary and material are staggering!
