got call no message left. if they were real they would leave a voice mail. to me it is an unknown number and blocked.

Called three times within 5 hours. NEVER spoke a word. It's beyond frustrating to be interrupted in my work day. I listed my company on the Do Not Call List...what a joke.

Has called several times this afternoon.  When I answer, no one is there.  People get paid to call other people and just not respond?  I don't get it, but it is beyond annoying.

People submit their phone numbers to the DNCR without comprehending what it's for. What a joke!

1)  The federal Do-Not-Call registry exists to help enforce the Telemarketing Sales Rule. Please note the operative term ''marketing''. A debt collector is not a sales person and is therefore not covered. The few remaining state lists share this limitation.
2)  The FTC has made it plain that the DNCR was not intended to protect businesses from cold sales calls. Little stops you from registering your business number, but no one is obliged to avoid it and the the FTC can do nothing with your complaints.

Turning out your empty pockets does not give debt collectors a reason to quit calling. Their job is to strip away your assets, not listen to your personal problems. State and Federal laws give you the right to limit or halt communication from collectors. You have to give direct notice of such preferences, not wait for the autodialer to get tired. Certified Mail is a superior option for the job.

calling around 8:30 pm without company name specified.  Scammers believe!!!1   The calls are annoying.

They call three to four times a day. Yes I am a little behind but that doesn't give them the right to call at 830pm!

Well, actually it does.  Third Party Debt Collectors can legally call from 8 am to 9 pm your time.  This is an original creditor who is not regulated by the FDCPA.  So unless your state law says otherwise, they could call you anytime they wanted to.
