- Tiffany| 1 replyThis was a message from Comenity Bank, though when they called it comes up on my phone as Unknown. I am behind on my payments for my Home Shopping Network card( which is through Comenity) A man left a message saying his name was Michael and I couldn't understand his last name. He didn't say where he was calling from, just that I Or my attorney needed to call him back by 4:00pm today. I looked up the phone number he said to call him at and found out it was Comenity. However I have been trying to call since getting home almost an hour ago and anytime I call and enter the extension he said to enter it just rings and rings, no one answers and there's no answering machine or voicemail to leave a message. Guess they won't be hearing from me today since it's now almost 4:00pm!

- StacyGet these 10 times a day. All threatening me. All saying to have my lawyer call them back. All for $150 bucks. Whatever happened to bees and honey and all that? Awful business practice.
“This is an urgent message for ******* my name is Janice. Stacy I'm calling in regard to your business with *******<company>. Ms ***** it would be in your best interest to contact me with the name and number of your representing attorney. if you're not being represented by an attorney I highly recommend that you contact me directly so we can discuss the situation that has been escalated to me and if I donor hear from you by the time I leave my office I will have no choice but to bring recommended actions against you. That was Janice. Then “Mr Hall” called and always from an unknown number so that they can’t be blocked. Silliness.- Caller: Commenity Bank

- Stacy replies to TiffanyI feel ya there. It’s so urgent but no one answers. It seems to be the way commenity does business. They’re in charge of Victoria’s Secret too. Seems to me they have a nice running script of threats to try to scare people into calling them back. (Wonder what happens if ya actually answer the phone to them!!)
That’s shameful. But I’m assuming they mean like a bankruptcy lawyer. Who knows. They need a newer way of doing things for sure. Can only imagine the calls they Do Answer have VERY irate people on the other end. Imagine how THOSE calls go and what they’re probably allowed to get away with saying!! Think I’ll skip my afternoon lashings. - LC replies to Maninder Kaurits COMENITY bank not culinary bank
- guestI had a similar experience, though I never even received a call from them but had a voice mail only. How does that even happen???
The caller -- a male named Mr. Hill with a very rude, condescending tone -- left a similar message as Stacy mentions above. He used several buzzwords - "non-compliance" and "actively refusing to make an agreement" etc. I know for a fact it was face because A) he said it was in reference to a store that I never have done business with (Gormans) and B) called me by an incorrect first name though he had a correct last one. He left this phone number as well as a 'direct extension' for me telling me that I should call back (x 1277326).- Call type: Debt collector
- SnoopyCaller from this number left a threatening message to call urgently/emergency before the end of the business day. Was not even a message for me it was for another family member and the name was pronounced incorrectly. I don't know how they got my phone number and my connection to my family member...they did not even call or contact her directly. I am very unhappy with this caller, Miss Jefferson, whoever they are! They left an extension X1276320
- PARCalled & left message suggesting if I already had an attorney I should have him contact them and if not I should call immediately and speak with Robert. No company name given. I actually have an account with Comenity Bank (Roaman's & Woman Within Clothing) but my payments are current so this is a scam. Actually called from 913-577-5000 which has also been tagged as a SCAM phone number.

- KamReceived call from a lady named Robin looking for a Stephanie Avalos, who I have no clue who this is. She was providing the same script as what I read here from others regarding an unresolved matter and if there is no response, she will need to take the necessary actions on her behalf. Provided extension 1276361. Was stated to be related to a Victoria's Secret account. I guess this Stephanie Avalos gave a fake number to them that happened to be my work number. Great. Damn you Stephanie Avalos, get your [***] together girl and pay your damn bills!!!

- Guest| 1 replyKeeps on calling family member's number. No reason why they should have this family member's number unless they stole the information from her student loan. But she paid it off. Also, credit card was stolen and returned a while back. So a lot of people may have a case of identity theft. But I'd be weary on giving out any information, when they leave threatening voice messages. Someone may have sold your information to a debt collector who buys it pennies on the dollar. So they have all the time in the world to try to recover their funds. It's annoying. No one checks their info anymore.
- Caller: Some bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to GuestCommenity bank issues credit cards to subprime people and also branded cards. As such they are an original creditor and not a "debt collector" as defined in the FDCPA, nor are they a debt buyer.
- DonnaMy husband had a vm on his phone from this number calling him by his dad's name saying he was calling on behalf of "Forever 21"...my father in law is 80 years old. It is pretty obvious he wouldn't have cc from that store.

- Q| 3 repliesI have never had a Victoria Secret card, this is a scam. I refuse to answer the phone. I have heard that some scams just want you to say the word "yes". I think it best that if I don't know the number, I don't answer the phone.

- BigA replies to Q| 2 repliesI think you have are drunk on too much of the Twitter "Sky Is Falling" kool aide. If you had taken the time to actually try to learn, you would have found that is nothing more then an unsubstantiated rumor that grew legs and that not one single person has been scammed that way. Glad to see that you want to keep getting the calls though instead of learning how to stop them permanently.
