- CM| 1 replyHave received several calls from this number. They say they are debt collectors--Oxford Law. The odd thing is that we changed our phone number a couple years ago because of debt collector calls to whoever used to have our old number. But now two years later they're calling our new number for this same person? Can't find anything online about "Oxford Law" except for the dictionary.

Bad history according to other sites.
Here's What another site said:
" Info RE: Pinnacle I personally dealt with Pinnacle Credit Services and they tried to establish themselves as the original creditor on a fraudulent account so they could extend the SOL on the debt by four years. They also attempted to collect twice the amount of the original fraudulent debt through "interest and fees." Considering the original debt was supposedly 6 years old, even if it was valid they would have bought it for pennies on the dollar.
To make matters worse, Pinnacle Credit Services normally farms out to "attorneys" to collect the debt and will refuse to answer your calls and have even refused to provide a mailing address. Failing to provide a mailing address is a very big red flag. Many times these farmed out collectors will attempt to collect the debt until you demand that they provide verification of the account. They then remove the account from your credit report, send it back to Pinnacle, who then farms it out to another company a year later."

- tiredA VERY nasty woman called me at work yesterday. She told me that I needed to call the plaintiff about my case and she wanted to give me a phone number. I said "I have asked you not to call me at this phone number and you are in violation of Federal Law." She kept talking and I hung up.
She called my office AGAIN today. I was quick to remind her that she called me yesterday and was told not to call here. She said, "Oh yeah, YOU called ME yesterday and you were very rude."
When I finished laughing I said, "No, you called me and you need to stop."
She tried to give me a number to call and a 'case number'...but I just talked all over the top of her and ask her to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just send my court documents with verification of the debt so that I could take them to my attorney.
She said, "I will be calling your HR department and serve you at work."
I said, "GREAT, I can't wait!" ....then she hung up on me....hmmmm..go figure!!- Caller: SCAM
- Danielle| 1 replyThis law firm called me demanding I pay a debt from 2010. They had my account number from my bank, but not the routing number, nor could they provide me with my entire social security number. I asked for certified mail, but they hung up on me.

- Slim replies to DanielleThe Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:
* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money. ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]

If you KNOW you owe no money, or believe the call was from a fake debt collector, please take the time to read this:

- ScambusterGot a voice mail at my place of employment. The call was a robocall telling me to call this number and refer to a case number. They provided no company name or details. I have been dealing with scammers since my identity was stolen online about 8 years ago. Fraudulent debt collectors pretending to be attorneys, fraud investigators, etc. trying to harass me and scare me into paying them. They threaten to call HR [and have even threatened my HR Mgr], send their goons to my home of office to "serve" me with paperwork, filing charges, etc. They harass my elderly mother also. I do not talk to these people, do not give any information, and hang up on them per the advice of the FBI. Many times, they use Spoof Cards so they can change their caller id to say "Law Office", "District Attorney", "Sheriff's Dept", etc. DO NOT PAY THEM. DO NOT TALK TO THEM. FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS.
