I keep getting a call from Public Storage. I did the same thing as above and called the 800 number, now they won't quit calling me. I am not using their storage, I never made a reservation to use their storage and I want my number off their list.

Same deal as everyone else. Made one call, got some quotes for a couple different storage spaces, never followed through with them = now receive a call from them atleast once every other day.

These guys keep calling me once or twice a day but never leave any messages.  I already do business with the local Public Storage and have for 3 years now, but I just started getting these calls a few days ago.  I called my contact locally and told them that if they didn't get me off of whatever calling list I am on I would pull my business and go elsewhere ... hope that works.

This number calls me everyday, and never leaves a message. My number is registered on the Do Not Call list. I did call them once (Public Storage) to get a quote. I didn't end up getting a storage unit because i didn't need it after all. Why do they keep calling? I want them to stop.

The storage facility is assuming an Established Business Relationship with you based on a recent inquiry. See Item #9 in this Q/A page from the FTC:
    http://business.ftc.gov/documents/alt129-qa-t ... -provisions-tsr

Since a rule change from the FCC ten months ago, EBR may not apply depending on the type of call and the type of phone you use.

I made an inquiry about a storage space while getting quotes. I went with another company. They call me from this number at least once a day, even thought I returned one call telling them I didn't have a reservation and wasn't renting a unit from them. They have awakened me several times.

Not sure I've noticed this # calling before until yesterday, ph says 4pm.  No message was left so googled the # now to see who/what it is.  Had previously read that 855 #'s are usually scammers.

Since I had sent an email complaint to Public Storage pre-dawn yesterday re their again outrageous price increases every year for the past 4 years, & now seeing that # belongs to them, I at first thought maybe they were responding to the email.

But after reading everyone's comments, even those who do not even have storage with them, I doubt they were calling re my complaint.

Either way, my advice is to avoid doing biz with not only Public Storage but ALL LARGE CORPORATIONS, period!  They are inhumane & greedy & "too big for their britches" with no accountability.  Look for locally owned/operated companies when you need storage or whatever, where you can call & talk to a real LOCAL human owner.

The first 2 years w/Public Storage the increase was very reasonable, less than $8 increase each of the first 2 years; then they went bonkers & began tripling the yearly increase to $22/23/24 every single year since then, 6 years total.  [Yes, my stuff is "stuck" there for extinuating reasons.])

I'm swearing off all large corporations asap after the above PS increase & got hit this same month with a whopping $20 increase from Comcast as well (internet).  All large corporations are monopolistic, incorrigible, & unconscionable.  I will not "feed the beast"!

If you made a reservation and do not want it, then cancel it or tell them you do not want it. This is a sales lead you generated.

look at the market rate for storage. It has risen 30% for the last three years. Look at the factors that drive the market price up. They are in tune with the market.
And it's the same principle that coke charges $1.25 for a two liter, and $1.50 for a 20z bottle.  No is forcing you to but the smaller bottle, but if you HAVE to, that's the price.
No one forcing  you to stay there. Rent a uhaul and head to the lower prices...
