I got a call today around noon from 855-415-0723. The exact voicemail test was:

This is an urgent message intended for ___ ___. My name is Jose and I am contacting you in reference to a complaint that has just been forwarded to my office. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the pending action that may be filed against you, you will need to contact the firm immediately at 855-415-0723. The file number that you will need to reference when calling in is ------. Now ____, this does require your immediate attention and it is very important that they do speak to you or they'll be forced to make a decision without your consent. Once again that number is 855-415-0723 and your reference number when calling in is ------. Thank you

Neither white pages reverse phone number lookup nor yellow pages reverse phone number lookup showed any companies with this or similar numbers. A classic scare scam.

Got the same call today 9/12 but with a slightly different script. the used the name of a niece of mine who I have not seen or heard from in 36 years. It said that I must respond immediately or my niece will have to move ahead regarding some legal proceedings without my consent. That's [***]. Law firms always mail you a letter. Reverse lookup found the number didn't exist...no name or business associated with it.

We have received 3 calls from this number stating that a complaint had been filed against my husband and to call 855-415-0723 before action was taken against him.

I received a text message from this number looking for my mother who has been dead for three years. Said legal action would be filed by end of day if I did not respond.

I was told that a civil case has been file and to call them back

SAME THING ... saying that they were looking for someone called ________ ... which was not me ... said it was urgent matter ... "AP Firm" ... that they would have to proceed without my consent with legal matters if I didn't call them aback at 855-415-0723 ... caller said she was Stephanie Wallis ............ WHEN WILL CONGRESS GET A HOLD OF THESE SPAMMERS !

I got a call looking for my dad which I have talked to in 18 years.  They asked if I could get him an urgent message to call them back re: file #98640.  They would not tell me what it was about due to confidentiality.

Yesterday around noon a David Carter left a voicemail to my sister and brothers cell phone who both has the same last name as mine, mind you I only changed back to my maiden name this year from my marriage last name, saying they had an urgent message for me and that it was urgent for me to call a number 1-855- 415-0723 with a case# ref 97672.. Why they didn't call my cell# that I've had for 15yrs! I called them back and talked to this David Carter which he stated a claim was to be issued against me for a missed payment of $580 to a bailsbond in Feb 2013.. He said I mind as well pay the full amount instead of going to court and fighting it, with all the lawyer fees I would end up paying thousands instead.. Unless i came up with proof and receipts they would have to process the claim against me at 8am the next morning.. David said I had until they close to find the receipts which was 5pm eastern time.. He did not tell me his last name or when they closed, I had to ask.. When I found the receipts in my home the same day I called back the number and a different gentlemen answered.. I asked for D. Carter and he told me that he had just stepped into the courtroom and won't be able to come to the phone and he will return my call tomorrow.. I mentioned I found the receipts proving I had completely payed for what they said I missed and a claim was suppose to be sent out at  and he said he'll put a hold on it and leave a note for David not to go about it.. I have not received a call back from them yet

Received a threatening call from an individual claiming a a complaint was made against Jeremy Hendricks. Stating for them to call back. When I called back person answered pretending to be a law firm, but would not state which one. When I explained he was calling and harassing the wrong number, he began to argue with me and hung up on me. When I called him back and asked to speak to the person in charge he said he was the weapon in charge, and hung up. Scam!!!!

Same here. My call said they are from Abbott, Dean & Associates. Gave me a case number and claimed they are calling on behalf of an account from 10 years ago. Also called my husband, who was in no way affiliated with said account since we were not even married at that time. I googled the number and the company name, the website was just created this year. When I called him out on his scam he got nasty and hung up on me. The number came up as Restricted and the contact number they left for me to call back on was 855-415-0635. It sounded like a call center in the background.

Got the same message today.  They call a friend of mine who lives in Colorado which I haven't seen in 10 years. They said to call this # 855-415-0635.  Something about legal documents.

I recieved a message from this private number telling me to call 855 415 0635 to stop a law suit pending from a local Hospital. They had 4 relatives they already had and last 4 digits of SS so I fell for the Scam. I thought about it a few hours after giving credit card info and called the bank to stop the payment. Then I Googled the number and found the Scam notes, I wished I had Googled the number before I called it... LESSON LEARNED.

Received a similar call with voicemail requesting me to call 855-415-5840

So after these rude people called two of my family members saying they had a undeliverable package they had tried to deliver to my house which they hadn't. Finally I called back to find out it's a law group representing a collection agency threatening subpoena and not even telling me how much I owed or to whom scare tactic.

Judgement filed against me from credit card company which I never had. lol  What a joke. scam artist.

Interesting theory. Here's a better one: they don't bother to "prowl court docket records", they just call anyone they can get to answer the phone and try to scare them into paying a non-existent debt.

Got a threatening voicemail from a no caller ID number.. she used my maiden name which I haven’t used in years and said they are trying to serve me with legal papers and referenced a case number. She ended the voicemail with “you have been warned”, she also left a callback number 855-415-8332.

Just got a call from “unknown number” that left a message for my husband stating a civil complaint was going to be filed against him and that he had to call back 855-415-8332.  From what I have read here, sounds like a scam to me.
