- Irritated| 2 repliesJerks. Called on a Friday @ 8:00PM. Wanted me to pay the 100 bill using a credit card, but hadn't sent it to the insurance company yet. Deceptive caller. Blocked!

- mad little hen| 3 repliesreceived call from Mercy this morning. They started off with you owe an old bill here??? HUM.... I always pay the bills when the insurance sends me my EOB and I then get the bill from the provider etc. She let it slipped that they had just received the eob themselves- ( their bill has not even generated yet) what gives with Mercy- are they that in debt they feel the need to bother patients with this. It seems to me that if the person processing insurance claims would do so in a timely manner Mercy could get their portion of the bill quicker.... Just saying........

- Chelsea| 5 repliesFAKE! They called and they knew my name but the first thing the lady said was that she needed my personal information. I asked what it was regarding and she said that she couldn't discuss it until she got my info! I told her I wouldn't give it to her and she said I should call the number back to prove it was Mercy. But who calls YOU and then asks for your information WITHOUT telling you what it's regarding?
- Caller: "Mercy"
- Jodie JonesA bill for Er care that never happened
- Caller: Would give name
- Call type: Debt collector
- BooIt was Mercy billing. I do owe a bill but had made arrangements for monthly payments which I make and have never been late. When I called back they said they have no control over the automated system. It will call random numbers of people who owe a bill. One of the reason I hate Mercy. They took over a hospital where I live where one of their ex employees had run it into the ground. Before him they were in the black. Seems a little odd. Services more than tripled. Their name should be Merciless.

- Let's be fair replies to Chelsea| 3 repliesIn their defense, Mercy has to be certain they are speaking to the patient only, due to HIPPA regulations. They are just doing their job. If by chance, someone other than you, answered the phone, and they started speaking to them about YOUR medical bill, the person that answered may have not known that you had medical attention and maybe you didnt want that person to know. Now they know. They are simply trying to protect you by verifying they are speaking to the correct person. It seems extreme but they can get in serious trouble if they dont comply.
- CassidyToll free..... i dont accept. A name i know i will. If it's mercy, use your name or you are out of luck.
- CassieIF this is Mercy, it shouldnt say toll free. They want to reach me it had better say Mercy. I will NOT answer or call it back.
- Caller: Says "mercy"but it is a recording
- periboob| 1 replyRobo caller: "this is Mercy Services. Please call xxx-xxx-xxx. Goodbye" No chance to write down the number or get a replay of the message. I called back the caller's number, got a person, background noise like a bulk call-center. "What is your account number?" Me: "I don't know, I am returning your call." They: "Please give us your ..." Me: (Since I have no idea who this is) "no thank you!"
Mercy seems to be going through a substantial administrative change so it could be them. Just dont know. When I look up the local Mercy patient services number, call them. They want me to leave a number so they can call me back.- Caller: Claimed to be Mercy
- JoeyWho and what is Mercy?
I got a call from them as well.- Caller: Mercy
- Call type: Debt collector
- SuspiciousReceived a robo call at 9pm saying they were Mercy customer service and to call them back. I dont have any outstanding bills so dont know why they called AND they called my cell phone which is only given as an emergency number. They didnt call my home line which is my primary number. Their customer service practices are awful and I am suspicious about the legitimacy of their call. I will not call them back.

- Curiously skeptic| 2 repliesI received a call from that number, I didn't answer because it was a toll free caller and I'm not interested in what they are selling. They left a voicemail saying it was Mercy and to please return the call. Odd thing is, I had just paid my account off 2 days ago. I don't imagine they were calling to thank or congratulate me. I totally understand the HIPPA laws because I was a debt collector for many years. But, I agree with Chelsea on that if they can't give me a bit of the information, I won't share mine with them. I could care less about the HIPPA laws when it comes to a caller that only knows my name. So, I'm not sure if this is really Mercy or a debt collection agency they have contracted but either way, I wouldn't be dealing with them at all. My business is with Mercy and that's the only ones I will deal with.
- Caller: Mercy is what it says
- Call type: Debt collector
- Shell replies to periboobThe collections are outsourced to another company.
- No wayI received a call from "Mercy" on my cell asking for my husband. When I said "this is his wife," she asked me to verify his personal information. I told her he has never visited a Mercy clinic/hospital and asked for the date of service. She got nervous and weird and said she couldn't give me that info. Uuummmmm but I'm supposed to just give you his. No. Scam.

- MindalynRec'd a call from "Mercy Customer Service" and to call them. Called and they said I owed money from 2009. I haven't even been seen there in over 15 years and the bill was paid off at that time. He said I owed thousands more in medical bills too. I asked why has it taken 8 years to call me and he didn't know. He said to pay the bill. I told him this was a scam and to never call me again.
- Caller: "Mercy Customer Service"
- LolaReceived a call from Mercy asking for me. When I acknowledged it was me, the person on the other end.stated "I'm calling regarding your balance." I said OK, I shouldn't have a balance, its.already been paid. The.caller then said, "your balance of 56.68 has been paid, and you have a $0 balance." Then why are you calling? "To tell you you have a $0 balance." Ok, uh... thanks? What was that about?!!!

- CorrinaI just received a missed call from this number, and of course, if I don't know the number or if it's an 800 number, I google it. I got this forum about this number. I don't like that they call from these numbers. Don't expect me to answer if you are calling from an 800 number.
- No loGot a call from this number. Didn't answer and glad I didn't! If everybody would call Mercy and report this crap, maybe they'll get tired of the complaints and take care of it!
