- Caller: Eathan Thomas-no company name
- LynnGot a call saying I was a person of interest in a claim that was filed. Person locater would be launched and would interview relatives, current and prior supervisors, etc.
- Caller: Ethan Thomas
- TedPre- recorded robo call, poor quality recording and I could not understand much, something from Regional Financial I think, and launching a public search if you don't call back. So I called back and got "extension #203 is full",this is a SCAM for sure, and they are not even good at it. I make a list of all the numbers and time of call to be forwarded to local law enforcement as they requested,so they can look into this, and try to stop this fraud. Scam, Fake debt collector, pure dishonest SCUM.
- Caller: "Rectum Financial"

- TedCalled from a local number (probably spoofed) and asked to call 855-467-9411 about a last chance of a claim that is filed.Did not give company name, who they were calling for,or any other required info, just veiled threats of bank account seizures and liability search.A complete violation of the FDCPA,no legit company operates this way so time for a phone harassment police report, and then block the number. Fake debt collector scam.
- Caller: Ethan Thomas/ Joe Armstrong
- AlI have also received the same exact messages from 818-493-7272 saying to call the 855-467-9411. I called both numbers and it says ext. 203 is full and can't accept any new messages. They are also asking for a someone else that has nothing to do with me. So I'm glad I googled this number and learned it was a scam. I completely agree. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!
- Diane replies to cecilleI got the same call. I called them back and was told that if I didn't pay off a debt my son had against a bank that they would proceed to prosecute him for trying to defraud a government agency. That's when I knew what [***] it was and I told them not to call again or I would report them. I didn't hear anything for a while, and then yesterday they called and left a similar message as if they had never called this number before. They need to be reported for what they are attempting to do to people. Eventually they are going to find someone who believes their [***]. It's not right!
- Jan| 1 replyGot a call from this number. Recorded message says something about claim and such and they could start a search for said person etc. Didnt respond and looked on internet and found this site among several others saying it's a scam. So that's that.

http://www.cashnetusa.com/consumer-notices - JennaI got a call from an Ethan Thomas saying I had been named as a person of interest in a claim in his office. He was trying to reach me before an asset and liability search and a person locator were launched. He said once launched several parties could be contacted and interviewed including my family, current and past supervisors, and my neighbors. If I was interested in reviewing the claim to call him back at 855-467-9411.
- Caller: Ethan Thomas
- AmeliaI got the same message from an Ethan Thomas. The number rang as 937-770-9561. I've had the same number and address since '09. Wouldn't be hard to attempt. Their wording had me thinking scam. Threatening isn't exactly kosher in debt collecting and they don't give you a reference number. Could probably get cute and call back saying I don't know this person to see their response. I don't feel like talking w someone who is obviously trying to scam people.

If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.- Caller: Informational post
