They call me several times daily and leave calls on my answering machine saying they are handling a case for someone I don't know.  I'm just sick of it!

Third day in a row! I get calls asking for "Hazel Richardson." I have had this number for three years now. This is the second year that I get calls around January from this number for her. Not sure if she had the number before me and still uses it when she borrows money from the quick-loan places or what. I have blasted the person that I finally got both times. When I asked who the company was, finally got IPS Arbitration, she wouldn't tell me "who" they were arbitrating for, just hung up on me. I will be blocking the number yet again from my cell.

How stupid can these people be?  Have been getting these calls for several months with a "claim number".  Supposed to return call to them and give them this.  Not going to happen in this life time.  Guess they do not know but process servers do not call to tell you they have papers.  Get real jobs driving taxis [***]

I gets calls from the phone number DAILY.  Once, I decided to call back using the claim number that was left on my voicemail. When I do so, the female rep mispronounces my first name and I tell her THAT isn't my name and give her my correct FIRST name.  The heifer then asks me to confirm the last 4 numbers of my SSN and I told her that I wouldn't confirm anything until she told me what the call is referencing.  She responds nastily and quickly, "A court summons.  Now, are the last 4 numbers of your Social XXXX?"  I, again, tell the critter, "I'm not going to confirm or provide you with any information unless you give me a specific reason for this call.  She snaps at me and says, "ARE YOU GOING TO CONFIRM THE LAST 4 NUMBERS OF YOUR SOCIAL OR NOT?!!!"  I scream back at her and then silence.  That's when I calmly told the urchin that if they have an address on file, send any correspondence that is intended for me to that address and hung up on her.  I really wish I still had a landline with the old school heavy as a block phone.  Some people still need to hear that SLAM! when you hang up on them.  The "end" button just really doesn't do it for me.

I've gotten 4 calls today...2 from this # & 2 from a local number 562-553-3251. All I assume are spoofed. They both leave the same file # and ask me to call a 3rd number. Of this is a payday
Loan scam as everyone else has posted, they gots the wrong girl. I've never had a payday loan. What I HAVE had is my identity hacked 3 times between Dec, 2014 & July, 2015. I assume that why I'm getting THIS call. I get so many telemarketets, fraudulent Bill collectors, contest scams...you name it. It's gotten to the point where I definitely don't answer a call from an unrecognized number. It gets so bad, I turn the ringer on my phone off. My family & friends complain that I never answer their calls, which is true if my ringer is off.
I've filed complaints, I've harrassed these callers to no end. Until our government really comes up with something more enforceable than the DNC Registry, I'm afraid these calls are a way of life. It sucks, but this is the price we pay to enjoy the privilege of all this wonderful technology.
I'm ready to go back to two ton cans & a string, lol.

Getting the same calls.  I have been getting these type calls for years from all over.  I don't owe it, not going to pay it.  Threaten to serve me with papers, waiting on you.  One even had a "processor" call with an exchange the same as mine, funny thing is that the first # is the same for every number in my area.  Really.  Scam artists, basically home grown money terrorists and they need to get a life and a real job.  I answer some of them to just mess with them when I am bored.  I am really not so stupid I can bullied into thinking  I owe something I don't.
