- stock4166I just got a charge on my CC for $9.84 from onwsac.com. It's an identical web site to the other ones listed above. I called and they cancelled my subscription to some bizarre web site. All of these appear to be operating out of the UK. The phone number at onwsac.com is 855-531-1092. This is a whole family of web sites committing credit card fraud.
- stock4166| 6 repliesI am wondering if my card got stolen in the Target CC theft. My wife shops their rarely but she did shop there a couple of weeks ago. According to this Reuters article, the hackers raided Target between 11/20 and 12/15. It may also just be coincidence. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/12/19/us- ... E9BH1GX20131219
Has anybody else on this thread shopped at Target during this period? I had my card replaced because somebody has my # and can use it fraudulently. - not Michael replies to stock4166| 5 repliesI haven't bought anything at Target in months. But I think your card number was part of that raid. From what I've read the thiefs started on Black Friday and ended when they caught. The dates in your post are correct. Its my understanding that the thieves sold the numbers to other thieves.
Call your bank RIGHT NOW. The phone number is on the back of the card. Tell them about the fraudulent charge and your wife's shopping trip to Target. Get that account closed and a new account opened with a new account number. - Matt replies to not MichaelI had this exact same thing happen to me today. Fraudulent charge for $9.84 on my PayPal card.
I tracked down IEWcs.com, called them and was promised the charges would be reversed. Woman on the phone was purposefully evasive about the charge and I refused to give her any info other than my name and the transaction ID. They claimed the charge was for a site called login.webtutorialpro.com .
I didn't trust them, so I reported it to PayPal as well. PayPal immediately started a dispute on the charge and cancelled my card for me. I also had the PayPal rep check if I had any charges at Target in the last few months and I didn't. I guess this means there has been another huge theft of CC date recently but whatever Company is covering it up. - Tamianth replies to not Michael| 3 repliesGlancing back through this thread it appears to be a scam/fraud that goes back somewhat. I'm thinking that these need reported also to the feds and not just the bank.
Contact your bank and file dispute/fraud. File reports with the proper authority's also.
file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC

I did post up some local news earlier also that reports someone filed a law suit on Target, and is suggested it may go class action and that chase has put limits to their account holders in relation to this Target hack. :(

http://www.katu.com/news/local/Local-woman-fi ... -236889071.html - stock4166 replies to TamianthI spent some time researching this and it was actually the banks that discovered that target got hacked. It appears that Target had no clue it was happening. I do Business Intelligence for a living and I can tell you that the credit card processors (banks) have some of the best fraud detection systems of anybody out there. Several CC processors figured it out around the same time when they started getting a very high number of fraud complaints from people that all had made recent purchases at Target. Personally, I won't shop at Target for perhaps 6 months because it's going to take at least that long to figure out where the holes are and to get them plugged. Those of us that have had fraudulent activity will likely become part of a class action law suit against Target and get a whole 93 cents or so while the lawyers get millions in the settlement. The perps will probably never be caught because they are probably in some place like Russia, China, or Nigeria. IMO, I don't think it's necessary to do anything except close your credit card account and get a new number if you shopped at Target during the period when the theft occurred. This is the 2nd biggest credit card theft in history. Everyone in government and the private sector has already been working on it for a week. This is huge.
- Matt replies to Tamianth| 1 replyHmm... I noticed by the katu.com link that you are also in Oregon. I haven't used my card at Target, but I'm also from OR and was in Portland yesterday when the charge went through.
I've used it recently at:
AMAZON, AT&T, USPS, Dreamhost, Wal-Mart, Hot Topic, STAPLES, Fred Meyer, and MARKET OF CHOICE
Is there any correlation to region or stores shopped at here? People in this thread at Amazon are experiencing the same issues.

It's just a wealth of information. I haven't shopped at Amazon since Nov 25th, I just realized I did have my new MasterCard on file with them for at least 2-weeks before FEOsac scammed me. After reading the threads on Amazon being hacked, I'm inclined to say the scammers hacked more than just Target. You think your credit cards are safely on file in their secure websites/servers, but I guess they're not.
- bird replies to Betty JCcancel your debit card right away. it's a scam site.
- Pat replies to Betty JCYesterday I had 9.84 deducted from my bank acct from out of the country; I contacted my bank and they refunded the unauthorized charge and closed my debit card, and reissued a new card.
I wouldn't call the fraudulent company and attempt a refund by giving more of your personal information that could lead to more charges and identity theft. - Carl replies to Lark| 4 repliesI just found the $9.84 charge on my business Visa 12/12.
That card only gets used at a hand full of vendors and has never been in a Target store. They're getting them some other way. - David| 2 repliesI had two pending transactions show up on my credit card account as follows:
"ONWSAC.COM 011-43114324 GBR" and
"CWEBCS.COM 011-43114326 GBR"
Both charges were for $9.84 USD. Each website referred to a different phone number, with a one-digit difference: 855-531-1095 and 855-531-1096. I called both.
The first one was reluctantly willing to refund my money after some laborious and redundant questioning (call time: 21 minutes)
The second number I had to call twice. The first time (call time: 22 minutes) the fellow told me WAAAYY too much accurate information about me, but then shared my supposed email address, which was way off (totally not mine). He told me that the best he could do was give me a 50% refund, to which I naturally protested. He asked he to hold while he checked on something, but we got "disconnected." When I first tried to call back, the call immediately failed a couple times...and I had something else to do for a bit. When I called the second time a little while later, I got a young lady on the line who relatively quickly ended up saying she was processing the complete refund, and that it'd take 3-5 days to process (call time: 14 minutes).
I (perhaps unwisely) have not yet contacted my card company (Citi Mastercard), but will be monitoring the statement to see what happens (cannot dispute until the transaction is complete). From there we shall see...I'm not too worried about it (although I am very hassled and annoyed). People and companies alike reap what they sow 100% of the time.- Caller: N/A -- I called them.
- francis replies to BCThanks for all the replies, I noticed the same 9.84 $ on my debit card, I called and talked to them first they say we can only refund 60% then agreed to a full refund, in the meantime I have to deal with 66$ in overdraft fees, I hope my bank waves those, however I have not shopped at target lately.Dallas, tx.
- John O'NeillObvious phishing effort.
Called the 855 number shown on these posts -- which I looked up for FEOsac.com, which I found appearing on my 9.84 credit card transaction... When I got through, I reached a call center that asked me for personal data (first and last name, last 4 of my social and email address).Thinking on my toes a bit, I realized that the combination of that personal data with the card number on the fraudulent transaction I was investigating would be *plenty* to perform identity theft.
No friggin' way. Refused to share the data, and promptly reported fraud to my credit card company, and got me a new number.
These people know no bounds.- Caller: FEOsac.com
- Francis| 1 replySame--$9.84. Although mine originated from IEWcs (dot) com.
Same stock photo and vague description of what their services entail.
Same suspicious looking phone number: 855-531-1095.
I went to my bank to inquire about it in person, and they stated the charge was indicated to somehow be affiliated with an educational resource.
Anyhow, I'm guessing this is somehow related to the Target breech. :( But I haven't even been to Target in months; so, it's very likely this is worse than just Target. I really don't know who to be more pissed off at. - JN$9.84 EETSAC.COM charge from 12/21/2013 posted on 12/23/2013. I have recurring charges set up with Gannett newspaper subscription, St. Jude donations, Kim Clement ministries, Redbox, and have shopped at Target. Since several posts have seen these fees without shopping at Target I do not know for sure how they got my info. I reported and am waiting for new account number/card.
- KayGot an email today from my bank about irregular debit card activity. Checked my statement online immediately, and sure enough there was an odd charge from iewcs.com on 12/23 that I didn't recognize. Apparently it's the same type of site others have seen. Obviously a scam or phishing attempt (very basic site, no mention of the services they provide, etc). Didn't even bother calling the number listed. Bank says that the charge will be removed from the account and a new debit card will be sent out. No idea where they would have got my card info from. Haven't shopped at Target.
- Alex YMy Chase Credit card got charged by $9.84 from an ONWSAC.COM. Same as the other people who posted. I called Chase and they were not willing to tell me who this merchant is. But they said they blocked this merchant from further charging my card and also will refund me the $9.84.
- Mike replies to Tom| 1 replyTom,
I grew up in FWB. We moved there in 1966. I responded to your post because I don't often encounter folks from my "little town". I now live in Houston. Anyway, my CC account has been charged the same amount and am thankful (too) it wasn't for a larger sum. All we can do now is cancel the affected CC accounts and stay abreast of what's going on.
Mine (among many others) occurred soon after I charged something from Amazon. I think the "gateway" that Amazon and other companies use are being scanned and tracked (hacked) by some sort of software. I don't think the companies themselves are being hacked. Just my 2 cents.
Happy Holidays.
