- CWG40 replies to anonymous from NJTotal nonsense. You can't be arrested for ordinary civil debt. Why would a bank be involved in a 4 year old telephone bill? You work for these knaves/fools? Yes, occasionally off-duty policemen serve process and I know County Sheriff's deputies do, but no policeman is going to arrest you for an ordinary civil debt.
- CWG40 replies to DEBRA MCKENZIE| 2 repliesYou have to stop paying them. Now! You should immediately change out all your account numbers. Now!
(1) YOU CANNOT BE ARRESTED FOR AN ORDINARY CIVIL DEBT. PERIOD.
(2) BEING IN DEBT IS NOT A CRIME. PERIOD.
(2) WE DO NOT HAVE DEBTORS PRISONS. PERIOD.
You have been scammed. None of these scamming groups will send you a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail is no good.
Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a DIME until the debt is validated.
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.
If they are bothering you,
Report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You may have to yell at the scammers and talk over them. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now. - FrankKeep getting calls from North Dakota number the message is to pay a credit card from first bank visa for 1499.00 03-05 will settle for 700.00 today! never have had a credit card! - Tina replies to CWG40| 1 replyThey keep call my husband. They have my email address am I safe them having that??? Some credit card for 1499 we don't even have credit cards. Frank Jackson I called better Bureau of the North Dakota. They can't do anything but said the 855 number is a cell phone from India!!! I'm worried say they are Impriel processing solutions!
- CWG40 replies to TinaYes. I called that number. The party who answered did not have an Indian accent. I'm pretty sure it's an American scam outfit located in New York. You could change e-mail addresses. They ID themselves as Imperial Processing Solutions. You should invest in a call blocker. Do not pick up on numbers you do not recognize.
- Annoyed in NC| 1 replyI just received a call that I'm going to be served on Monday. I gave them permission to take out one payment and they promised to email me info about the debt. Of course, they sent no email and then debited my account again without permission. I changed my card and they (Frank Johnston) have been calling daily to tell me how pathetic I am and left on a voicemail that my payment wasn't enough for them to send me proof of debt. Hopefully if I get served, there will at least be something to prove that this is an actual company and valid debt.
- Still annoyed in NC replies to Annoyed in NCBahahaha! I love that they follow this thread. They literally just called and when I answered, a guy with an Indian accent said, "Annoyed in North Carolina" and hung up. Folks, document, document, document is all I can say because phone harassment is a crime.

- FM replies to anonymous from NJYou sound as though you work with this scam. Who sends a cop to your house to arrest you for a debt? I flat out do not believe you, and hopefully no one else will either!
- Lynda replies to kathyI am receiving calls from a Ms William stating that I owe $600.00 and that they are now coming to my place of business 800-901-2443
- CMajorDaneSame here. They have been calling me for a month about a civil suit with may name on it. I finally accepted the call today. Ms Grayson said the account was opened in 2003 and remained current until 2009. I said impossible. I was in prison from 2004-2007. No way i could have kept this account current. She asked me if I intended on paying. I asked her why haven't you just taken legal action? She said they were still "exhausting possibilities" and that she was going to mark me as a "refusal". I let her know i never said I'm not refusing but you cant give me much valid information about this debt. She said they will "proceed" and she hung up.
Its clear this company is just phishing for money. They want someone who's too scared to be sued and will pay. They're the 3rd company that has tried this with the same "debt". Not one has sent me my summons.... So I'll keep waiting. Then I'll beat them in court.- Caller: Imperial Processing Solutions

- mone mike| 1 replyi received a similar call from that same number, i was scared and botherd by what it was, because my sister did get served for a bill she owed, and when i called back i found out i did owe a bill, it was a payday advance. yes it was from 2 years ago, but i did owe it. i made them send me proof, which they did, if it wasn't for them i would have never of know how to pay it, now i got another loan from my original creditor, my opinion on this, and im sure many will have negative things to say is the only way they have your information is if you really owe a debt. my advised is pay it, of course you should have proof or something in writing but no one can make up a fake debt, so what you should realize is you most likely;y owe it, you can listen to this cw40 guy but its not his credit report that is being marked delinquent so he dont care.. i believe he works for the credit company, cause no one in therr right mind would tell you not to paya bill you owe, just make sure you have proof before you pay it-thats it,

- anonymousi been recieving threatening calls from this company for awhile, they have even called family members looking for me. Different reps called me but the last one i spoke to was Omar Smith. They had all my information, email, ssn, address. i am supposedly have a fraud case against me and if i do not make arrangments now processing will begin. i had always been suspect about this but was scared to go through any legal problems. i asked for email with the information they had, and i was told they cant send me anything until i made last payment. i just called the number back to speak with Omar about my arrangment and making a payment. I got the voicemail, which didnot sound like one of a professional business. That is when i googled the company and came across this website. the number that keeps calling me is 8446218248.

- LostFaithInHumanityJustNow| 1 replyI don't even know what to say about what just took place except that I have lost faith in humanity after getting a call from Imperial Processing........................................
These people called my Mom! My Sister! and Me. Although I had a feeling it was a scam from the very beginning I thought I would make sure I wasn't in any trouble for my own peace of mind as I have been a victim of Identity theft.
The phone calls are coming from Tampa, Florida but with a local area code. Talk to two people first one was a Katie Roberts a receptionist I guess and second was "my case manager" named Valerie who refused to give me her last name. Valerie was very stern and rude from the beginning of the call, Asked to repeat my case number several times which I did. I asked her to repeat my case number once just so I can verify on my end that we BOTH had the correct case number. She Couldn't....it frustrated her. I asked her to give me Address of business she dodged the question and said "don't worry about where I am worry about the Deputy that will come to your work and embarrass you" I asked her to tell me where I worked she gave me the name of an employer I had over 5 years ago. She then told me to be easy and that the Phone call was being recorded for the Attorney General. Every time I asked her to verify any of her information she would threaten me with a Deputy lose looking for me. I told her very calmly I think you have the wrong information and please refrain form calling my relatives and if there is a legitament debt and I have to appear in court to prove my innocence then I would be Happy to Appear in front of a judge. At this she accused me of stealing and that in two hours I would be arrested and would have to pay a huge fine and hung up on me. This person was angry that I was calm. I almost wanted to call her back and get into it with her....but I chose not to and carry on with my day.- Caller: Imperial Processing

- CWG40 replies to mone mikeLook: If you have a just debt, you should pay it. Period. Or at least make some legitimate arrangements to either settle the debt, or pay it off.
We should all pay are just debts.
But --no one is under any obligation to pay a debt collector who violates the rules of debt collection.
Fox example, failure to send a debt validation letter. Threats. Phony threats of criminal prosecution. Threats of "warrants" on so forth. People who engage in such activities are debt scammers and should not be paid anything.
