Total debt scamming operation. Ignore and block the calls.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

Got a call from 844-710-8964..saying I was going to be served at my residence or place if employment

Scam.  No legitimate process server lets you know in advance that you are gong to be served.  Ignore and block the calls. Read the other notes.

Did an actual officer come to your home to arrest you? I am just wondering if they actaully carry out these threats or if they are just being harassing?

Listen up people.  In reading the thousands of complaints and experiences with this scam about coming to your place of employment or home to serve papers, claims, whatever, not one single person has ever reported that this has happened to them.  Well, except for the shill or trolls who go through these sites, toying with people who have received these calls.  Identity theft is real.  Many of us have taken loans in the past and in fact, would venture to guess that most Americans have at one point in their life.  Auto, home, personal, student loans.  Think of all the major retailers, websites and insurance companies that have had their databases hacked, with your personal information, including SSN.  We have that gnawing fear when these criminals call, claiming that someone is coming after you for money owed.  And, they play on the psychology of that fear to get you to call back and pay them off.  It is extortion and that is illegal.  They will call your family, job, trying to intimidate you into calling them back.  Very shady and a sure sign that this is a scam.  You can allay any fear by either calling your local courthouse or going online to check any pending cases that would show up under your name.  Cyber criminals suck.

I was too afraid and uneducated about the debt situation i owed 580.00  in which they said if i didn't pay they would send out a cop to arrest me and or take me to court. Then when i try to contact the number spoke to barbara williams 1844-710-8961 ext307 it no longer exst smh
