I contacted this company and told them of all the complaints that I see on here and that they were a scam.  They  had me call the original creditor that i owed money to and had me follow a paper trail of who they've sold the account to.  I found out that it was actually owned by LLD and that they do have the rights to pursue it legally.  Never the less, I was offered a great deal to settle and I took advantage of it since I've been trying to clean up my credit!!  They updated my credit report as a paid in full as a my credit score dramatically improved.  My advice is get something in writing before you pay it and definitely verify if the account is with them!

I received msg to call this number within 2 hrs and was given a case # to reference. Like everyone else I was scared & told a coworker. He Google this # and seems you all have provided some great information.  Scams are out there and we all need 2 b cautious.  Thanks everybody for ur posts

I call BULL on u Mary. A few years ago I fell for this scam. Having just gotten seperated from a man that messed up my credit made me fall for it. Never saw any trace of that money or shred of where it went. Hope they are real proud of stealing $900 from a single mom of 3 thats also taking care of her ill mother by working 3 jobs. Good for you.... SCAMERS!!!!!

Seems like everyone else is going through the exact same scenario as me!! I never received any written notice regarding court summons and i can never get a live response from "the corporate offices"  I am so glad i checked google for this mysterious number... i hate scammers and bill collectors!!

this company is based out of CA. The owner is 28yr old lesbian who is Philippino decent and her Mexican side kick who looks like a hermaphrodite.  Here's how the whole scheme works. They buy the leads dirt cheap. Create a script that is of course illegal. As a matter of fact I will quote the script that you heard just so you can see that I'm not lying.....

I am calling to inform you that we are scheduling a uniformed officer and a process server to serve at your place of employment or resiedence to provide you with a legal summons. 3 attempts will be made. After then 3rd attempt if no contact is established YOU WILL BE FILED WITH THE COURTS AS A FAILURE TO BE SERVED.  Blah blah.

You call in and collector comes on and says they need to contact the attorney's office that's in charge of your case. They tell you they are the attorney agent on the file right, the put you on hold while they contact them right. There not contacting qnybody, they actually take a little break or take another call... Its all just a different method to collect period.... I have been doing collections for many years and worked here at LLDE for a short time. I left because I caused a lawsuit. I simply read the script. The whole scheme is completely illegal.... If you need help feel free to contact me. Would love to help with a suit against this fly by nite scamming operation...

How do I report them?

A** H*****!!! They called me at working say they were going to take me to court and a officer to server me with paper work.  I was like 8 months pregnant...i was worried, scared, and crying!!!  I was sooo stressed out cause i could get the money together. I blamed them for going into labor early!!! Grrrr I borrowed money for a family member to start paying them off and then they left it into payments. I went two months paying them...one i called to see if they can give more time to finish paying them but i haven't got a call back from them at all!!! I'm so bad at myself...just because i didn't want them to take me to court, or to show up at work. : (

I am an attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  I have had a client contacted by Lincoln Legal Division.  Can anybody provide me the legal corporate name of Lincoln Legal Division.  Also who are the owner(s)?  I cannot find any information on this organization on any state's secretary of state's website.  Thank you.

I am an attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachsuetts.  I had a client called by Lincoln Legal Division.  Under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93 Section 24-28, it is illegal for a collection agency or a debt buyer to contact a Massachusetts resident without first having a debt collector license in by the Massachusetts Division of Banks.  It appears that Lincoln Legal Division does not hold a debt collector license from the Massachusetts Division of Banks.
