Don't know who it is that calls.  I answered once but no one was there.  If it's an 855 number I don't answer.

The DNC is a joke. When I put my name on it, after it was first established, my junk calls tripled. Telemarketers use it as a source for live numbers. There is no enforcement to punish violators… it is completely toothless!

k designers "energy savings while increasing the value of our home."  asking if we are still homeowners of previous long ago address.  if you stay on the line  long enough to find out what they want, don't  let on you are affiliated with any info they may provide. it is a fishing expedition. I hate scammers

I looked up phone numbers like these, and attempted to call them back. The result is always,  "you have reached a number that does not accept in-coming calls". Another number which showed up on my caller I.D., I get the recording "The line is busy, for only .95 cents, we will call you when line is open". I believe this would be a crime possibly a federal crime, trying to act as a phone company. Could someone please respond to let me know if I am correct.

This is the third time that we have received a call from this number.  And the third time they were told not to call. We have no idea what they want - but this time when my husband answered he was told him that they were going to "redirect his call" - Since he did not initiate the call he told them not to call again.

This is not the real K Designs. Called them and informed them of the scam connected to their name.

I have kept a list of scam callers for the last 3 years and have over 350 tel numbers.  Another list I did on Excel and includes all the phone numbers of friends, family and businesses I want to speak with.  Their numbers are listed in numerical order by the last four numbers of their phone numbers. When the phone rings and no name comes up on my caller ID, I can quickly check my list and answer the phone if their number is on the list.

That .95 redial service is most likely a legit service from your local phone company.  I have worked for companies where I had to dial the number of clients and have gotten that message on occasion as well from our local telephone provider (CenturyLink).

With technology as it is, If you are a business that still does not use automatic voicemail rollover to reroute calls when you either cannot answer the phone, or if the line(s) is/are all busy,  then you shouldn't be in business first off, because that is 20th Century thinking.  You may have just kissed your biggest sale goodbye as your competitor will probably be the next number they dial -- and they will either answer the phone or give the option to leave a FREE voicemail on their business phone.

That being said, obviously this company shouldn't be in business -- scam artist or not.

They spoofed their number as 118556954284 - no dashes - didn't leave a message either.

Caller hung up when I answered.  Called the number back, and went into a queue where the company name was identified as K Designers (unsure of spelling).  When someone did answer, requested to be taken off the call list and they hung up on me.  (Already on the DO NOT CALL list.)   Called the number back again, and got a very nice gentleman who said he would submit and it should be off in several days.
Interesting thing is we have a blocked number and they were able to identify our number.  Sounds like someone already checked and this is not the actual company calling per the notes above.

I've been getting calls from both 855-662-9936 & 855-605-2323 harassing me to renew a so-called computer protection program that I purchased some time ago. A so-called tec name used a couple of times was 'Victor', another was named 'Dino' and another named 'Ivy'. All sounding either Chinese or Taiwanese. I've informed them I no longer want their sercvice(s) but I've been getting them at least 3-4 times per day now. Some were even using dirty and foul mouthed language directed to both my wife and myself trying to influence me to renew, and I want it to stop. Can these numbers be blocked from getting to my phone line? I'm not sure of the company calling but it may be called Advangate

The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has just ruled that the telephone companies can and should provide free blockers within their systems to block these scammers and con artists.

There is an effort being made by Consumers Union (they publish Consumer Reports). The effort is a petition to the phone companies—responsible for these phone calls—to offer free scam blockers.

The telephone companies are dragging their feet. They do not screen scammers and are making money off their harassing telephone Robocalls to consumers.

Signing the petition is sure to help. Consumers Union has clout because of the numbers.

Please go to www.EndRobocalls.org to end the madness, harassment and scams. You can also go directly to the Consumers Union website for the same information. Thank you.

Also, contact your Congressman. Congress should address this issue since it is a federal problem. My California Congressman Garamendi has not responded after 12 E-mails, but I hope you have a better Congressperson than me.
