Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so. - D SanchesNot sure everytime I answer nobody answers back it hangs up. Then I calk back state s number not in service. I receive 3-7 calks a day when I dont answer they don't leave a voice message. Sick of this company calling me.
- Caller: not sure
- theron tacker replies to LindaI too started getting 3 to 5 calls per day and they never leave a message. I tried to call back but the number is not in service.
- ==WOLFE==| 1 replyI just looked up the information about 855 numbers. It's a new service that does a reverse toll charge..Instead of the company paying the charges for calling, we paid the service when they call us. So, thanks to the brilliance of phone companies and FCC, we now have a new way to get scammed by people calling us, by someone setting up a fake company and getting one of these numbers.
- Tamianth replies to ==WOLFE==Dispute it in writing with a letter sent via certified or return receipt US mail to the address on your bill of your phone service provider. File complaints accordingly with the FTC, your state attorney General & CFB..

http://www.stopfraud.gov/report.html - AshThis number called me today and I didnt answer. They left a voicemail where there's background noise and then they say my name in laughter. Feel so weird after reading the posts.
- carl| 1 replyArea code 855 is an area code reserved for toll-free calls in which the calling party is not charged. Instead, the telephone carrier charges the cost of the call to the called party.
- Badge714 replies to carlThey should make the person who posted that on their web page remove it, or update it. It's almost become an urban legend. Area code 855 is toll free. No charge is made to the person receiving the call. Area code 800, 822, 833, 844, 866, 877, 888 through 899 will all be toll free. Area code 811 in the US is for local underground utility assistance service. In Canada it's for Telehealth.
- AngelaG replies to TerriI got 5 calls from them today! !
- Moomin| 1 replyI am soooooo sick of these people. They call me nearly every day! This morning I received a call at 6 a.m. (thankfully I was already up). It's the same darn person who always misspells my name. I am ready to go all-out-war on them!!!!!
- Moomin replies to MoominOh, and I started reading other people's complaints and how those callers would say inappropriate things, and I realized that I totally forgot to mention that when they called this morning and I went off on that guy that it was 6 a.m., he said "I love you, I love you, I love you!!" Uh, what? That was incredibly inappropriate, but at least he did not tell me that I would burn in hell like they told other callers (see comments in this thread). And about a month ago when this whole saga of calling me on a daily basis started, the very first call was allegedly from some "department of education" but now I know that it was the same company (same voice and SAME number). I have a few (well, a lot of) loans with the Department of Education and at first thought they were calling me about my loans or that DOE sold my number (which I doubt would happen) to some educational program and they were calling me to see if I were interested in enrolling in some programs. They guy started asking me whether I was interested in additional educational opportunities and I said "no." He asked why, and I said it was because I had already attained all education I needed. He asked why, and I said because I had already completed seven years of post-secondary education and attained my doctorate. He said "why." At that point the game grew old and I told him that I am not interested and hung up. Since that conversation I have been getting calls from the same person at the same number with different offers. I think I am just going to block them now. I hate it so much!!
- AdrienneI received a call and the operator had a very strange accent, it appeared to me that English is not their native language so they may be calling from a foreign country. He advised me he was calling from "auto loan network" and I qualified for an auto loan. I barely got out that I wasn't interested and he hung up. I searched auto-loan network and there is a company and they have a notice posted that these calls are not from them. Regardless, I would block this number I'm sure it is a scam.
- Caller: Auto Loan Network (supposedly)
- CindyI have been getting calls from this number for the past few days. I finally answered and it was a foreigner I could barely understand. The scary part was he said he was calling from my insurance company and just needed to verify my information. He had my full name, address, and my birthdate! Now I'm afraid this might be some identity thief scam!
