I got a message from them using my Charter logo saying that my windows files had been compromised.  I use Charter for my TV, phone, and Internet.  So I fell for it.  It just so happened that I called my tech and she said "Turn off your computer now!"  repeatedly.  I turned off my computer as quickly as I could but not before they did damage.  They got my bank account number (which I immediately afterward had changed), e-mail, address.  I just brought my computer home from having to be repaired because they messed with my access to the Internet among  just a few things.  I am going to report them to Charter.  They never told me who their technicians were.  However, when I inquired they said Office Depot.  

simular experience to  " from British Columbia" and "Caller from California".  My laptop got the same "trojan virus" message (quoting "Error code Win32xepcj") along with instructions to call 1-855-763-0456 for assistance.  My laptop was literally locked up in a loop that kept bringing up that message. I called Microsoft tech support, and spoke to an Indian accented officious sounding jerk.  The company had been calling me also on my phone also "repeatedly" about my laptop/network having a virus.  Unlike my fellow victims above, I gave them access to my computer and my address.  Fortunately or Unfortnately I am broke with poor credit.  I stayed on the phone with them a while but got annoyed (which showed in my voice and answers) when the "Microsoft tech" continued to tell me about how bad my system was compromized and began to tell me how bad Norton Suite Protection was at virus protection.  When he asked me if he could check for vendors in my area to help me fix my trojan virus. I said yes if Microsoft was paying, as they were a multibillion dollar company and was doing a community service as they had reached out to me.  But I also said if I had to Pay anything  he was wasting his time.  At that time, after 15 - 30  mins in this sales pitch/scam, he snapped "nothing was free" and then hung up and disconnected from www.supportme.com.

Microsoft never calls customers.   You called a scam number.    

Never call those numbers.  Never give control of your computer to anyone you do not know!  

Your computer is now most likely infected with malware of some kind or  another and the scammers now have any financial  or personal information you might have had on your computer.

Hate to say it, but you've been seriously scammed.

About time you got some street smarts when it comes to scams.  Otherwise other scammers are going to take advantage of you.

And since they successfully hit you once, they're going to try it again.  Beware and take care.

Got a pop up window online claiming my pc is infected with zeus trojan and to call system admin at this number.

They hacked me

MY children were on my computer and downloaded something. I keep receiving anti virus pop ups. Then a pop up came up that I can't exit out of it states "My computer has been infected by Zeus Trojan Virus and I need to call this number immediately. I obviously did not.

I got the same message today on  my computer, saying I had a "Trojan" virus, which said I needed to call 855-763-0456 right away.  They said they were from Microsoft Support.  Why can't these people be caught and stopped???

Yep, same here, did the same thing. But, how in the heck are they able to get into my computer to have that message pop up??????? They sound like a bunch of terrorists to me. How do they have this control over my computer?????

I got the same message saying to call Microsoft. I called Since I thought it WAS Microsoft. It was a man with a middle eastern accent. Not knowing Anything about computers I gave him some info. I found it Strange when he said I could get protection. For $299.00 for life. Told him I could Not afford that. He told me his name " Alex Smith" I said to my husband that's a Strange name for his dialect. He came back & said we can do $99.99 every 3 months for 3 payments. Told "Alex" again I can't pay that. He put me on Hold again & came back with a 1 time fee of $49.99 for Life. I said No Thank You & hung up.
How Stupid could I be.... Should have know from his Name.  Thank Goodness I didn't give him my card. I have No financial info in my computer. Now need to call Microsoft ( the real one) to see what to do next!!!

Just got off the phone with my mom telling me her computer has this bad virus and she let the "Microsoft guy" take control of her computer to 'look around'. Asked her if her bank account info was in there and she said 'yes' .Then he stayed in there for 30 minutes. Got off phone with her, still has control of her computer and she sees it 'working' still, she thinks he is in there cleaning it b/c he still has control of her computer. on top of that, he asks for $388 before he does it!! I just now told her to call her bank immediately and phone company.

I AM LIVID. Anybody prevent money from being taken? Or did you get screwed? My mom knows better and i am so upset with her

I got this warning from Microsoft security essentials on my PC!! I googled the phone number before calling and I got this site!!! This is unbelievable!!! Someone please stop these creeps!!! Ridiculous!!!!

I was trying to watch a show when all of a sudden one of those "SPAM" websites popped up and told me that I have to call this number, I tried restartingy computer, turning it on and off, and then I tried scanning for viruses using Mcaffe and it said "no virus detected" ok....? So I called the number and it said "Customer service support", no company name, nothing so that there first made me start thinking about this so called "customer service number". After about 9 mins I finally got a hold of someone with a middle eastern accent and some serious attitude. He told me to pull up my protection service with the big "M" on it. Okay, so I'm like cool this guy is from Macafee since he knew what software protection I had. I pulled it up and I saw that with Macafee I only have to pay $39.99 to be protected, then this guy goes. "How much have you paid us?" With some serious attitude. "Paid you? Nothing!" I exclaim, "well then that's the problem, you must pay us for the service it'll be $593" he tells me. WHAT?! This is when I started to realize this really is a scam "$593? That's ridiculous! I thought you were with Macafee! I see here that Macafee is only charging me $40 why in the world are you trying to force me to pay $593!". He's like "this is the Frogger number" now when he said this I had heard fraud so I tell him, "this is a fraud number? Is that what your admitting to me that your a fraudulent number?" And he raises his voice at me exclaiming, "FROGGER! FROGGER! NOW DO YOU WANT OUR HELP OUR NOT BECAUSE WE CHARGE FOR OUR SERVICES!". So I tell him "so how do I pay the $593 huh? Are you gonna ask me to pay by phone? Do you want my account number?!". He replies with "well you can pay online". I ended the call with "this is so stupid" and clicked. Don't be fooled by these people! God forgive them because they probably have cheated people out of some serious money! Don't be fooled! You have been warned! God bless you all and may he help open your eyes like he did with mine when it comes to these scams.

The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

I did not call the number but I have some sort of malware infection that get past my trend micro and I keep getting a message telling me to call that phone number for premium technical support. my browser is completely screwed up now

Try Malwarebytes or use System Restore to roll back to a date before the popups started.

I think they created a trojan to infect my computer so they could access it and charge me $200.00 to fix it.  @#$%^&*
